You can have vision in a dream, but they don't always come in dreams. They could come during prayer, or in situations like Magenta described. They can be coupled as/with a word of wisdom/knowledge. One I like to share is about a guy who was angry at God. He and his girlfriend had been considering accepting Christ, but before they had done so she died. He was angry that God would take her before she had a chance to decide. I was praying about them one night, when I saw legions of angels rushing into what I perceived to be a cave or tunnel. When I told him this, he was taken back because she had died in a car crash under a freeway overpass. I told him to not be so sure she hadn't decided, and decided correctly.

You have to discern when and where to share visions (and other gifts). Some may be for you alone, some may be personal for others, some may be meant to be shared with scoffers. As Blain said, you have to test the spirits. God says He will confirm His word thru multiple witnesses, one of which must be scripture. That will help you know not only if a vision is real, but where and when it is to be shared (if at all).

Tonight I dreamt that I was late for classes at some college (I am not taking classes anywhere in real life), and Donald Trump was the president of the university and he was helping me buy food in the school store so I won't be hungry in class.

He didn't work at the store, he was just there and was being helpful to me because I couldn't find the price on a couple of items I really wanted. One was a steak (yes, a steak lol) and the other were these pork nuggets (like chicken nuggets). Yea, it was a weird dream but it was kinda cool... He did find packages with the prices on them and gave them to me..

Was it a vision? I guess it could be..

some to build others up who are down , and yet do we use those gifts we have been given or do we not... see... them .

Being able to see visions and have dreams from God being able to see and discern spirits this is not something that is given to everyone it isn't that many are so shut down they cant or don't wont to because the cost could be just to much cost of time and cost of their life it's just that everyone serves different roles in his kingdom and no one role is above the other

you know sometimes I don't know why he shows me certain things, once I lost my favorite book and could not find it I pray to God to keep it safe as it was my favorite book that had scriptures for every day situations I loved that thing. the next night had a dream of it being in a very specific hidden spot in my room I doubted it was actually there but ywouldn't you know it there was exactly where it was shown in the dream.

another time was when I didn't want to be friends with a certain person anymore and in a dream ahad he and I became freinds again and I said in the dream but Lord I don't want to be friends with him anymore but sure enough months later the dream came true and I am glad it did, i have had many dreams in which they all came true even though tbh not sure what they have to do with being a Christian as they are just regular scenarios like that but every time I have one like it I never assume it won't come true because I found they come true whether I want them to or not I had one just a few days ago where my sister for some unknown reason refused to speak to me and would shun me right now she and i are the best of firends but odds are even though I don't it to happen how much you wanna bet it's going to?

Also I know exactly what you are talking about when you speak of those thoughts that play out like a video in your mind but you know are of God and not your own thoughts. Ever since I became a Christian I have recieved those on almost a regular bases always having something to do with either God or me and him.

I used to call them prophetic daydreams others called them holy spirit inspired thoughts others visions but they don't like full out visions to me so I don't know what to call them exactly but apparently the things you and i are experiencing are things that happen to a certain kind of prophet called a seer. a seer sees though different eyes than their physical ones and God shows them images or scenes in their minds eye or the spiritual eyes which I can attest to as I have encountered angels and demons both seeing them with such eyes and many times he place an image in my mind that has profound effect on me often times filling me with his love or giving me strength when I was dry out ect.

I do not call myself a prophet and I never will because I am not a prophet I am also not a teacher i am not a servant I am not speaker I am not a warrior I am anything that he desires anything he needs me to be I am that I am.
even if it is not within my given gift of the spirit he knows that I am willing to be anything he desires to do anything he needs my will my heart my soul my life my body my blade is at his command regardless of what it is how far we have to go regardless of the cost or how severe the pain if he asks he will receive. This is why it doesn't matter if I am a prophet or not and why when others call me one or say that they think I am one or when others mockingly call me one and show me scriptures of what was done to false prophets in the ot I always say I am not a prophet because I'm not any one thing for him

Before the church I attended told me to keep totally quite about the visions and dreams i was getting from God, God would push me to give testimonies about some of the visions and dreams he was giving me, and when I obeyed him , God would speak in me and through me to the congregation with instructions, and in a few cases subtle correction. It was this subtle correction that caused the pastor to shut me down. After that God never pushed me to testify to the people about the dreams and visions he gave me. But my point is that God never pushed me to testify about all the dreams and visions he gave me, only just a few important ones.

I have a friend who calls me the old man due to the bible where it says old men
will dream dreams.

That came about due to a strange dream I had a few years ago in which I dreampt
my branch of Barclays Bank was full of Christians all involved in different activities,
some sort of youth work was happening in one area, another area was like a coffee
lounge quiet and still another area was where people were listening to music.

But then the dream changed, the bank counter was still open and I went to make a
transaction but there was no one there, the bank was open but there was no staff so
I walked thought the bank without being stopped and I reached the bank safe.

Then I woke up, I pondered about this for a few days and wondered what a bank and
a vault meant. Then at church on Sunday I shared it with some friends.

Two weeks later the wife of one of the people i told came running up to me with a
news paper article. It was about a man who had walked in a bank and no one was there and
he was able to walk right to the bank safe. Apparently the staff had left but forgot to lock
up!


Here is the original article. I know no one on here will believe me but that doesn't matter
as I told at least four different people at church before the event actually happened and
was reported. So now one of my friends calls me "old man" lol.

i believe your story Miri If you are a prophet or seer it isn't based upon the range of your influence it's based upon the fact that God gives you the spiritual gifts, and it may be that like me you don't consider yourself any one thing for him either in which to call you a seer or prophet wouldn't be correct.

It is the willingness he looks for in the warriors he uses not their strength or initial gifts one who was given the gift of healing because their heart is a willing one for him may one day instinctively touch someone and feel the power of God flow from them into that persona and witness a healing miracle all because they had a willing heart and responded to the spirits call

This would have been my interpretation. .the bank represents the riches of Christ we attain by faith... the tellers was supposed to be ministers in the Church that helped you aquire that wealth..not where they was supposed to be.. but it's interesting that this was a real physical event? Generally when these types of things happen it is then necessary to ask God to interpret the dream for you. Fast if you have to. God is willing to explain where it came from and what it means. He may not answer you in your time but he is faithful and just to answer the fervent prayers of his kids that walk as little children.

I pray that God answers with answers soon because I for one am wanting to know! Thank you for sharing

Yes I've had Several like that which have been real physical events.
Mostly about my own circumstances. I've got to the point where I don't
spiritualise the dreams as much as I use to and I'm more open to the
possibilty they could be real events.

very odd because God don't do anything without a reason..and I have had these type things happen and I consider it a place and time thing...meaning I'm where God wants me at the time He wants me there ..just His way to show me He is still in charge of my preordained life.
