I hope Im allowed to say that a tread was just closed. I admit it was a good thing.I was about to read somebody the riot act. No,not you Willie. So what is going on here folks? Its getting hateful. We had a blow out and a thread closed yesterday. Is this what its come to? Why is everyone so nasty and angry?! It wasn't like this when I joined. I had friends and daily I seem to be making enemies for simply giving an opinion. What has happened here? Drama,drama,drama.Its getting ridiculous.

Good question.... I'm finding that the BDF is filled with self-righteous folks that want to destroy anyone that has a different view of scripture than themselves.

It is spiritually exhausting, and I'm beginning to think I don't need to frequent this forum anymore.

I'm all about loving discussion and disagreement, but when it becomes a shouting match (figuratively) about who is an apostate spreader of Satan's message..... well, I'm out.

noone person can control a topic. it is the hope it would be respected but none of us has to agree. however, I do not know what topic was closed but you can speak to a Mod or Admin. The site is considered to be a fundamental christian web site that hold to christian orthodoxy. That been said there are atheist, evolutionist, mormon, and other belif systems that come in here and are allowed. What you do not see it the vast amount of underhanded attacks going on outside of BDF by some who have been posting here regularly. SO hang in there :) make your biblical point and leave it in the hands of God 1cor 14:38 applies

Oh, come on! I had to do those dishes eventually. (I gather I missed something? Sounds like washing dishes was the better plan.)

On a more serious note, I think the problem is enough negative people are on BDF now that they have, quite literally, drowned out discussion. I look, but I'm hard pressed to see a topic worth discussing and knowing it's going to end up being a whole bunch of people preaching off the top of their heads anyway, but think they're the only voice that counts.

I'd stop looking except once in awhile something good comes along to read. I do think it's intentional to get the ones who won't do that off the board or are able not to do it, so they can keep at it though. It works.

well that is your decision I just want you to know that I am here to help you when you decide to post a topic or discussion that is biblical to ensure it is respected. Now I may not agree with it or I may but I could be wrong :) now that is something you do not hear to much in here :)

I share in this frustration being expressed.

I'm also struggling with the fact that if I "block" someone, this doesn't eliminate all interaction with that individual.

My wife just asked me (because I mentioned some of this), "What is wrong with you guys?" I didn't have an answer.

blocking is a choice that you make for yourself it doesn't mean the person you blocked is wrong and you right it means you blocked them. And that may be a better way of dealing with a person so you do not post something that would offend them. People sometimes you just got to let some people be :) it's the smart thing to do

Why not? I deserved it probably more than anyone else did. I was baptized 37 years ago, and I still haven't learned how not to be vindictive, and retaliate.

believe that is the person who had started the thread if i am correct for example I started a threat in BDF CS1 is wrong :) " and you posted that I am right I block you from posting again. I think that is correct but I will check for clarity and get back to you sir :)

I was responding to Kaylagirl, porbably about the time you were too, except I type slower. (I type slower than most. lol)

Sorry, didn't mean that for what you said.

Although I was thinking after I read what you wrote that it isn't merely "no one person" anymore. It's a large group doing it.

That and causal nosiness on what you get stuck seeing behind the scenes. I'm still glad I'm not you. I still have some brown hair left. If I had your job, I can guarantee it'd all be white by now.

I realize there is no logical way of resolving this, but it doesn't help that everyone replies with quotes so I see the person anyway.
