Who has been misquoting Scripture? I usually change my font type and color and even the size when I quote Scripture, though not always, for instance, if I am simply working a Scriptural truth into something I am saying, I just leave it all the same. Sometimes just a different translation than the one we may be used to can look like a misquote. That does not sound like what you are talking about, though. Do you have any examples? That may be helpful

This site has been around roughly 15 years, you've been a member 2 months, and you're talking about getting furious if your suggestion isn't implemented?
Problem with your suggestion is then it becomes an issue of what clearly defines a misquote. Sometimes people leave out part of a scripture because it doesn't pertain to the topic. So, technically, according to your standard, those people should get in trouble even though the part they left out doesn't pertain.
And what about context? Then it could be argued that the scriptures above and below should be required as well.
Then you have people reporting others for anything someone posts that is in disagreement with them.
This leads to more pointless reporting and more work for the volunteer admins and mods.
As is often the case, what might be a good idea is harder to implement once it's thought through and put into practice.

I've been a Christian longer than some on this site. Aren't I part of the family of God? Aren't I part of your family then?
If the user puts it in quotes, they better have it correct or they are misrepresenting the Bible and declaring it to be something it isn't which is basically lying. Second, if they are putting the words in quotation marks then they are saying God said it and then it becomes a problem and I think of this verse:
Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
The fact that they put other words in the quotation brings me back to Deuteronomy 18:20. Well, what does this have to do with prophecy? He didn't prophesies, right?
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
By getting the verse wrong, they got the spirit of prophecy wrong. Moses struck the rock and God didn't let Moses into the promised land. Why? Because Moses misrepresented God and the users here won't get their theology right and they are misquoting scripture.
Do you think this is a two way street where the users get to throw at me theological garbage? No.
I have standards. The Word of God has standards. You and everyone else are going to answer for all the idle words on this site:
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
You don't care? Well, you are all going to give an account to God and maybe for even the way this site is run and how people participate.
