Yeah thats a good point and do bears even eat porridge.

Maybe it was a deliberate snare for Goldilocks and she fell for it, they
really wanted her for breakfast that day. Ha ha ha (evil laugh)

Miri, you should release a book: "Corrupted fairy tales: The truth behind your bedtime stories."

Couldn't view the video for some reason.

But im sure we can knock together a rehashing of Goldilocks
and the 3 bears between us. It won't matter if it's not the
original Kings James Version. :D

Why? Do you like breaking into houses. Lol

Goldilocks didn't break in. The Bears left the door open. What I want to know is why did the Bears leave the house without eating the Porridge. The creepiest Nursery Story I remember is Boys and Girls come out to play. I saw a Ghost story once based on it.

never heard of it *googles*
huh? I found this, but that's not scary:

Girls and boys, come out to play,
The moon doth shine as bright as day;
Leave your supper, and leave your sleep,
And come with your playfellows into the street.
Come with a whoop, come with a call,
Come with a good will or not at all.
Up the ladder and down the wall,
A halfpenny roll will serve us all.
You find milk, and I'll find flour, / But when the loaf is gone, what will you do?
And we'll have a pudding in half an hour /Those who would eat must work - 'tis true.

- What version have you heard, since you find it spooky?

It could be an epic of Star War proportions and make Porridge the must have food of the Century!

That is the version.
I just find the idea of these children roaming the moonlit streets and making puddings
somehow disturbing. I cant really explain it but there seems something faintly sinister about it to me.

There are so many fairy tales on here at the moment that I'm
starting to feel left out. So here is my fairy tale discussion/conspiracy thread.

Depleted feel free to post some of your bear pictures for authenticity.

For anyone not familiar with the story here is a link

The Story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears

What would you say to Goldilocks and/or the Bears
if they posted about their actions on here.

Is this a case of gullible bears leaving the house unlocked.
Or are we talking home invasion.
What about bear rights not to be tempted to eat someone.
Or is this a case of not putting temptation in front of a weaker sister.

Is this the authentic story or has it been altered by different
translators over time.

If Golilocks had ran far enough would she have fallen off the edge of
the round forest.

Was there a Big Bang which caused the chair to break.

Does porridge leave a chem trail.

Maybe the third little bear was really an angel :p

Do you feel the ending was a bit abrupt and it should have a better ending.

Lol great post, used to love that fairy tale as a child, that's put a whole new spin on things :)
Like a planet in the right bed not to hard not to soft but just right and a solar system on a ring that's on the right bed in a series of ring beds in circling a bar of light.

Another similar comparison to the story would be which is the just right bed six listed below.

Evil(Good)Fence Or Evil(Fence)Good

My question...WHO GOES FOR A WALK WHILE THEY ARE WAITING FOR THEIR FOOD TO COOL??? I mean, c'mon.

When Goldilocks found the bowls of porridge only one was too hot. Question is why didnt all the bowls cool at the same rate? Another thing occurs to me. Porridge is usually eaten during the winter months. Bears hibernate then so these must eat it in Spring perhaps they went for a walk to shake off the long sleep.

I think I know the answer to the porridge conundrum.

The bigger bowl was for daddy bear, so presumably it took longer to cool down.
The smaller bowl was for the little one so it would have cooled down quicker.
The middle bowl was for mummy bear and as she was so busy making breakfast for
everyone else, she never had time to warm her porridge up in the first place. Lol

Well that is because it's a common misconception that all bears hibernate in reality only very few species do.
on the porridge were all the bowls placed in the oven at once or the porridge come from one bigger bowl who knows lol.. The ending is the best goldielocks was still sleeping in baby bear bed and awoke and screamed help and ran into the woods. little ironic I'd say so much for sleeping in the Bears den.

I wonder what the purpose of Goldilocks and the 3 bears was?

Maybe it was to teach about good house keeping.
Or maybe to warn children of the dangers of going off into the woods.

To never enter a house and eat their porrid
or to be kind to guests that just walk into your house and put an extra bowl of porridge there, just in case, and a bed.

A lot of these children story's can have different message affects,, probably some children reflect their own life to the story and some from the life of the story writer or combined creating something else out of it. it's good to be aware what a family's children are learning through children books.

IMO, if the 3 bears were stupid enough to leave their house unlocked while they were gone, then they deserved to have Goldi go on in and make herself at home. Stupid is as stupid does..lol
I think those were the days when ppl and bears could leave their houses unlocckd and not worry about intruders.

Michael Moore went on and on about how Canadians in big cities don't lock their doors, showing in one of his movies how you can just walk up to any house and open the front door and walk in. Compared to places in the United States, he was flabbergasted that this was true in Toronto, which is a very large fairly cosmopolitan city.
