Again we are seeing over and over again those who really do not believe God is all powerful. They teach and believe man is just as powerful as God by their losing a Gift that was given to us freely.

We did nothing to deserve Salvation. It was by the Grace of God the He gave us the Faith to accept Him as our Lord and Savior.

Peoples, you need to understand God has done everything for us. Its nothing we have done that merits Salvation.

Right, we were dead in our trespasses, then God gave grace to the obedient. God does not give the gift of grace to most people- only to those who obey. Wide is the gate that leads to destruction and most enter through it. Everyone sins, but to those who actively obey God, God gives the gift of grace. Yes we were lost in sin, and Jesus died giving the whole world the opportunity to obey and be saved. But only those who obey will receive grace.
hhhmm "while we were DEAD IN OUR SINS, HE...HE...HE MADE US ALIVE" not our obedience....

I did indeed read and responded. lol whos saying you can do whatever you please.??

if your saved YOU WILL OBEY! that's not hard to understand. you will obey because you want to obey and the reason you want to obey is because you are a new creature. born again etc.

you believe that salvation is dependence on a persons obedience. ? I say salvation is dependant on Gods goodness and grace.

Amen...

Titus 3:5-7 (KJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

[SUP]6 [/SUP] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

[SUP]7 [/SUP] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Galatians 3:2 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? ( the works of the law are self-effort and "doing" in order to receive from God )

Galatians 3:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

Hello???? God gives grace to the undeserving ... not the obedient. God gives grace to the sinner.. SINNER how are you so biblically illiterate it shocks me.

Grace is not dependant on MY OBEDIENCE. Grace is dependant on GODS GOODNESS.
This is a false dichotomy because unworthiness doesn't preclude obedience. The bible clearly witnesses that GOD gives grace to those who obey him.

Do you consider yourself saved? A Christian?

If yes, wouldn't you consider it your obligation to give us your list of obedience? If it got you saved, can you please give us your list of obedience.

I fail in many areas and don't 100% obey. At what point do I lose salvation or better yet, at what point do I obey enough to merit His Grace?

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household!” Acts 16:31

I have done so, and continue to do so. You claim a person no longer has to continue in the faith. Correct?
“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved,

IF we can lose our Salvation by sinning, then does this mean we need to be Re-baptized every time we lose our Salvation?

Notice i said IF.
Yes.

And also say a sinners prayer.

And proclaim the Lord Jesus Christ is Lord.

And re-ask for the gift that the Lord Jesus Christ already gave you.

It's just like the game Sorry! You go all the way back to the beginning and start over. Only when you get all 4 of your pieces in home do you get your once for all true salvation.

Good luck.

And May the Fourth be with you.

If we disobey God (and we will) He is faithful to forgive us IF (if, if, if) we confess our sins and have fellowship with Him. But IF we do not confess our sins, or have fellowship with Him (prayer), and leave the church (Christ's body), then yes, we are no longer in a safe state.
yes again I have to keep saying over and over again.

please understand CONTEXT

this is not talking about salvation which is linked to repentance... this is talking about our sanctification which is linked to confession. you confess not to be saved again and again all over like a light switch. you confess to renew your relationship with him, the same relationship that's always been there.

When would one ever know if they have lost their salvation? At what point does this occur?

He made us alive because of the obedience of our faith.
yes because that is what the scripture says doesn't it. NO nowhere in that scripture does it say because of our obedience, let alone our faith.

please show me a verse where it says because of the obedience of our faith he made us alive

Our obedience is to the faith which is the gospel of the grace of Christ and what He has done in His finished work on our behalf. It is really His obedience that brings faith for our obedience to happen and we respond to what He has done.

Scripture bears this out in an undeniable fact.

Romans 5:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

Romans 1:5 (KJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Romans 16:26 (KJV)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Romans 1:5 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake,

Romans 16:26 (NASB)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith;

Acts 6:7 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

I think this topic will be very vastly turn into the ole argument between those who say you can Lose your salvation and those who say you cannot lose your salvation.

I know where I stand on the topic however, I can provide scripture that could show why those on both sides believe what they say the bible speaks on the topic.

Then it will turn into attacks of you are false teacher, supporting heresies , etc....
But what each side cannot know is the heart of man or women :)
God is not mocked He knows who is HIS. That is why the scripture states Not everyone who says Lord ,Lord will enter in.
The hypotheticals question asked by many produce discord " can one walk away? When 100% of scripture shows us the God wants to save , has saved, and will continue to save. WE as Christians fight the air blindly with doctrinal stands but God will hold the believer accountable for what they have done after they came to know Jesus. Those who are not saved ARE JUDGED already John 3:17-18

So please study the word of God If you name Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are HIS if you are not His HE KNOWS! but nobody here including me has any say in your salvation Nor can we take it away.

Again, like I said in post 77, I do not believe our obedience does what grace does, only that God only gives the gift of grace to those who obey. While we were yet sinners He died for us, He died for the whole world. He gave us His blood to cleanse us of our sins, but w e have to go get it. Not only that, we have to stay in contact with it in order for it to keep working.

How do we come in contact with it? We are baptized into Christ's death- where He shed His blood. Then we partake of His body and blood every first day of the week in the assembly of the saints (Christians). If we, once saved, cut ourselves off from the blood supply, we are cut off from its benefit.

Just like if you tied a rubber band tightly around your finger, if you cut off the blood supply long enough it will turn gangrene and fall off. If this happens, it can never be restored, even though it was once genuinely part of the body, it is no longer.

John Bevere has teaching on this subject.. YouTube it.. Driven by Eternity... You can choose to give up your salvation.. God only keeps those who choose to be kept.. Why go back and forth about it when if the word was read right most of these comments wouldn't be on here.. Revelation does wonders
