You started this by saying that new believers usually just want a scriptural answer to questions... most people do not feed babies rib-eye steaks.
You start them on what they can understand, then go on to the more complex details.
But, this is your show... so, proceed.
Sorry. I wasn't referring to people who now hear about the Bible. I am referring to people exposed to the bible and church. From your age, you are a very experienced person. You actually are close to that special age
"3 score and 10"
...that a blessing.
But I am young
as you can see, I know many young persons, who were exposed to the bible and church, but who are grappling with where to go, what to believe, what is the truth about this or that.
Young people have told me that they have asked question to those who say they are in Christ, and did not get a clear scriptural answer. I have niece and nephews in that situation.
I have been in a similar situation before. So I know what it is like.
I know of persons who go online looking for answer.
The reason I put this challenge out is because I believe the bible answers their questions which they seek, and they know it too, but what they get, is what I explained - A long explanation with one or two scriptures.
I started with this question first because, this is a question that is troubling these same people.
The post is supposed to have it answered scripturally, and conclusively so that everyone can benefit.
It might just take one scripture to comfort a tired soul.
I hope that explanation helps you understand what I am about.
And no,
this is not my show. This is your show- all of you have the responsibility to use the scriptures to help a lost soul.
I really would like you to continue as though I did not start this, with everyone who wants to sharing, but just with these three things in mind.
Can you use the Bible to answer, and give a brief explanation for using that scripture?
Can you if challenging that explanation, use a scripture, along with a brief explanation, without being un-Christ-like?
Can you if challenged, use a scripture, along with a brief explanation, without being un-Christ-like?
