no not a troll lol I really do not know I do try to read my bible everyday. I am just uncertain because of what the pastor said to me about God changing with times I guess is how I would put it.
You're pastor is a blind guide if he or she says that God changes with the times. What a farce!

I think the scariest thing is that our PERCEPTIONS of God (as a society) change with the times. THAT is dangerous, and I believe that's what the enemy has counted on. That's why the Bible, God's Word, is the only thing to count on. Not people. Not pastors (who are just people). Fellowship of course is needed, but in the end only God (and his Word) can be relied on. But not quotes or passages taken out of their context. The Bible (I believe) needs to be viewed as a cohesive message, from beginning to end, starting with and culminating with Jesus.

Utah is so right! I would personally find another church. I am very serious. You are searching to know God, and your pastor says this? God does not change, but society and people do. God moved his people along as much as they could bear. Here are some verses which tell us God does not change.

"For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed." Mal. 3:6

"
"Of old You founded the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. "Even they will perish, but You endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed. "But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end." Psalm 102:25-27

"
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

God does not change with the times. I don't know why your pastor would say that. Gods laws and word in the bible remains the same. Meditate daily and just ask for guidance and knowledge within what your reading to put it into practice in your life

I have been away for a few weeks as I have been pretty busy. I am trying to figure out things in life still. I am not sure what direction God wants me to go in life. I think I know but I am unsure. I applied to go to a christian college to take nursing so I will see if I get in to the program.

I really am uncertain of how much of the bible applies to people today. Like it says woman shall not wear men's clothing does that really apply to woman today? I am not allowed to wear jeans and pants? it may be a dumb question the truth is I have heard pastors tell me that God is flexible with things and that it is okay to be my own individual and that is okay. I just was wondering how do I know what is acceptable and what is not. Do I follow the word of the Bible to the best of my abilities? There is scripture about so many things that we as people do today that the bible suggests we should not do Like watch t.v. and and play on our computers. etc.... I know if i just try my hardest to lead a life that God wants I will be fine I am just confused I guess.
I don’t know that it’s correct to assume that women can’t wear pants. Does the Bible say, “Don’t wear pants?”

I think it’s okay for a woman to wear pants. You might find a few people who say they shouldn’t, but where do they get such knowledge?

We should all possess a moral code to live by, but build your own moral code by reading the Bible. Don’t build your moral code by using other peoples’ moral codes.
