My uncle lowered his bad cholesterol by 20 points in 3 months by drinking a tablespoon a day diluted in water.

6 days thread and I just found it out-). There was brand i got here, braggs, but after a while the shop was short of the unfltered acv, and I thot, what is the alternative? I waited and didn't get 1 for weeks, and bec. I didn't know exactly what in acv that is said to be helpful for many ailments except for the potassium, but I still wanted to find some. I finally found another organic brand in another supermarket, w/ pH 5, wc is a dot more acidic than most vinegars here. Ppl are still getting used to the stronger taste and aroma, so sometimes I just sneak in a spoon or two in some recipes because they wouldn't partake of the acv in a saucer if it was served on the table. I know local vinegars too, but not really wc have a "mother of vinegar" like acv does. I think tinkerbell has posted a power drink w/ honey wc I have long tried. What I haven't is those local vinegars I said, for/and I haven't heard others using it for drinks and do not want to be the first though.

I've heard it works wonders and I've had it in salads before, but man! That stuff reeks to high heaven! It's one of the worst smells I've smelt. Each time I catch an unfortunate whiff I feel like un-lunching my lunch.

My Maine Coon cat is not even 2 years old and has 'F.I.P". "F.I.P." is nearly 100% fatal in cats. Last week the vet said he only has 1 month to live, so I began to quickly start researching remedies to give him, and in the process of finding good herbs, I came across Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. After giving him the Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, he started eating, which I think stimulated his appetite.

After UPS comes to my house today, I plan to make an Chinese Herbal tea for him. I am very determined to get him through this.

ACV is great for increasing stomach acidity to kill off parasites and microorganisms that could cause havoc in both humans and animals. They actually use ACV for chicken farming b/c of the acidity and the way it is a natural antiseptic to worms and other chicken maladies.

It's also great for athletes foot, b/c the acidity inhibits fungal growth and soothes the broken/dry skin. It's also great for scars that are fresh if you apply a little on a finger tip and rub it in a circular motion around the cut daily.
It will not "bleach" the skin but it has a lightening effect on the scar and helps it disappear faster. You can also use citric acid from lemon/lime juice to do the same but it will probably sting worse than ACV.

Edit: (The circular motion of your finger will actually increase blood flow to the area and further help heal scars) whenever you have a cut/scrape/wound you should massage it to improve blood flow to the area and make faster and complete (no scars) healing. By massaging it you are reducing the keratin build up of scar tissue underneath and letting your wbc's eat the scar tissue so to speak.

Add some Cayenne Pepper to it and squirt a couple of dropper fulls in the back of your throat when you have a sore or itchy throat. Can be hard to stomach, but it works great.

Hi

I've been using ACV for over three years and have found it highly beneficial. Whenever I catch a stomach virus it immediately alleviates the pain and discomforts. In fact it works far better than Imodium. A long while ago I was stung by a bug and it caused me severe skin disruptions. The ACV worked to clean up my skin and relieve the terrible itching.

ACV with what is called the "mother" or the settling on the bottom of the bottle should be in everyone's home.

Please see Patricia Bragg's channel on youtube. :)

Can help with dandruff too.
Can u tell how? ... when i started to use acv, i of course wondered if there be local vinegars that would work a well, so i read around nd asked. Since there are rice, cane and coconut vinegars here, among others, some must work even just a bit like acv, i thought. I have not found time to search and research on this really, but vinegars have long been helpful to people using it in various forms as a medicine. Let me just post this link on vinegars:
Vinegar: Medicinal Uses and Antiglycemic Effect
Interesting to know that before the prouction of hypoglycemic agents, vinegar teas were being taken by diabetics.

I was curious and thought to see whats in apple and acv, and compared w/ bananas, wc we have more of here. Cant find for acv right now however.
Raw apple, 1 serving
Potassium 4%, Manganese 2%

Read More Nutrition Facts and Analysis for Apples, raw, with skin [Includes USDA commodity food A343]

I see raw bananas have
23% dv of potassium, and 30% manganese... also very high in B6 at 41%!

Is there no banana vinegar-)

I've added lemon juice to my daily routine. I take two tablespoons in water in the morning and do the acv at night. I've actually lost a little weight.

that's wonderful to hear Sirk...

lemon, especially if just off of the tree is an amazing cleanser as well as bioflavinoid & C...

we would just like to add, that if someone has a delicate stomach, 'lemon' can be an irritant to soft tissue,
just think about how lemon juice alone can cook a fillet of fish if marinated in it...

hubby seems to have a 'cast-iron-stomach' and I a much more delicate one...so we must always be aware
after taking natural remedies to keep an awareness of how much we can tolerate...

Couple things I have noticed after taking the ACV every day for about 4 weeks. My resting heart rate is lower. I noticed this the other morning when I woke up. It kind of startled me cuz I couldn't tell if my heart was beating...lol. I have been sleeping A LOT better and that has translated into more energy at work. Don't know if it's placebo or not but I generally feel that it has improved my health. I've also been drinking about a half a gallon of water a day as well.
