Accidentally ended up in Georgia tonight .
Dang exit closures.

Been moonlighting for some extra travel cash. Delivery work. So I just hustled all day today at both jobs. My dog was not thrilled...she kept turning her head away from me and avoiding eye contact when I took her outside.

Arrived at my parents are little after 1 am

I was cooking breakfast and looking for a utility knife to chop onions , only to find there was peanut butter all over the knife. I proceeded to ask my dad if i could borrow a machete to butter toast.
WHY is my family's whole kitchen system so weird?

Also, accidentally let a lizard inside. Eek
 
In Quito! I saw the equator today (both of them, since the true equator apparently wasn't identified until about 20 or 30 years ago, thanks to GPS) and stood simultaneously in the north and south hemispheres. The line previously thought to be the equator was misidentified by the French ages and ages ago. I saw a fascinating demonstration of water emptying from a basin on the line, and again north and south of the line....water flows directly down on the equator line, swirls in one direction north of the line and the opposite way south of the line. (Forgot which was clockwise and counter clockwise)...this was within inches of each other, so blew my mind to see it.

Went to The Silent Valley for a walk, this is a reservoir in the Mourne Mountain, Co Down, N Ireland, it serves Belfast and North Down as a water supply, there were only a few people about and the tranquility was just lovely!

One of my jobs was filling two or three of those plastic containers with envelopes. Some of them were invoices but some of them were checks too. Big thrill -- writing several six-figure checks. Bigger thrill -- sending out invoices that would bring in enough money that it was no big deal to them to have those checks written.

Sadly, none of it was my money. lol
