"Thank you so much" but it's not thanking God?
Some old friends reconnected with us through all this with John. And they have a home group that gets together every week. They were friends from our first home group together. (Where I first got to know John.) And, they reconnected with some other old friends from that same first home group, so there are four old friends from our first days together. But the rest of the home group doesn't know us except for maybe some stories told about us in that group. And they all heard God tell them to pray for us and to do something nice, so they chipped in together and got us a card (with verses from the Bible that fit perfectly with what we needed when we got the card, so the card was the best present -- and now John's only wall decoration in his room) and put some money in it. I'm not sure if my chin is off the floor yet from that act of kindness, but it hasn't ended there.
That original old friend is on FB too, but I couldn't find him to "friend" him. He found me. And we friended, and now other people I don't really know from that new home group are friending me. Sort of like a family reunion complete with members of the family never met before.
And I want to say thank you, but I can't come up with anything better to say than that. I'm a writer and have been trying to come up with something better than "whoa! Thank you so much!" for a week now, and still can't. Any chance you have a verse that says what my words can't?
