But my comment does not contradict you. You interpreted that way...of couse Jesus is a friend of sinner, my post is about: The gospel is about saving sinner`s of God's wrath. That's the gospel. it's about salvation. What salvation? From God's wrath. People who dont believe in Jesus has God's wrath on theirs heads.
Actually WE have that on OUR heads for not bringing His sheep back into the fold if our approach is to just shame them and scare them off. A friend of mine has this on his website.... "If you love them, they will come. If you shame them, they will run."

Jesus, FIRST, always loved people who were in pain. He did not add to their pain.

The message of the gospel is in Acts 10 and in Acts 13...word for word from Peter and Paul. Read the scriptures there and compare it with what is commonly being taught today. You will be amazed and shocked.

Hell and wrath are NOT the gospel message. The complete forgiveness of sins because of Jesus dying on the cross and being raised from the dead is THE message. It's called Good News for a reason.

This often just becomes little more than a "churchy-sounding" phrase we have learned to repeat. "Jesus is a friend of sinners."

No, no..... Jesus, as a human man reached out and touched their diseased and smelly bodies. He physically wrapped His arms around them, stroked their faces, received kisses from them.... probably returned them, too, since that was the custom of the day. He crowded into their tiny homes, and spent hours eating food they cooked for him.. slept at their houses... would sometimes stay for days in some of these neighborhoods, with them all crowding around Him. THIS is the kind of FRIENDSHIP that statement speaks of.

Of course Jesus is a friend of sinners.....but He hates you unless you accept Him.

Just because we say something churchy, doesn't mean the recipient hears anything good about it.

I guess what I was trying to convey is that we need to be mindful of the message we leave people with. Just because something is clear to us doesn't mean that it is clear to the recipient....and we can end up leaving people confused because they didn't hear it like we think they did.

I guess I'm still not following you. Even if you do not accept Jesus, He STILL loves you, and is hurt that you have chosen whatever punishment might come to us at the end of our lives, instead of wanting to live with Him. "...... He loved us.... while we were yet sinners." We do not have the power to change His love into hate just because we are rebellious.

It's like this....when I am explaining something to my son I keep in mind that he may get an entirely different message than what I am trying to convey to him.

Gods wrath was poured out on Jesus Christ. Unbelievers don't need to worry about Gods wrath. They need to worry about being separated from Him for eternity. Hell is not Gods wrath, it is eternal separation from Him.

Hell is NOT Gods wrath. Hell Is separation from His Justice, righteousness and Love. Hell is separating creatures from His Grace and mercy................It is not God pouring out His wrath on His creatures. The creature makes the choice of separating from His Grace, and God allows it. He is not punishing creatures, He lets them make their choice.

Couldn't have said it better...

I don't think God "sends people to hell"...He is saddened when they choose that path for themselves. But He will not save someone against their will.

Lets stick with the Bible.
Not one scripture in all that thetoric. Here you go:

John 3:36,Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him."

BOOM!

That is why once we believe we can NEVER lose salvation, He bought us with HIS price and we are no longer our own. His righteousness, Justice and love will not allow a child of His to be cast into the LoF.

I think it is often more difficult for people who have been taught by English missionaries. They received the standard "God hates you!" story from people who went out from particular denominations, "doing their duty as required by God for their Salvation" to unlearn all that, and even begin to understand grace. Most came out of a "Rule-Driven" Religion, and just replaced that old way with pretty much the same thing... only now it is called Christianity.
