'Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him...and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.'
I heard this 'sick' is actually a sin sickness. What does the Greek say for this word?
Then it says 'Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed.'
That seems to be in line then with it being sin and not physical sickness.
It’s one of those two fold things that works in us in two ways. The spiritual not seen, as well as the physical, as that seen.
I think either could cause the other.
I found what I think is an interesting fact in respect to healing.... either one not seen, the spiritual, and the other as that in which we do see ...or both when I was looking at the word worshipped..
The first worship (eusebeo, to act piously or reverently) is how we normally understand the word but the later in respect to worshipped has a different Greek word used
once that gives us the idea of therapeutic
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship(eusebeo, to act piously or reverently), him declare I unto you.God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;Neither is worshipped (therapeuo, to heal, cure, restore to health)with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Act 17:23
