Oh, and funny thing, since the guys working on my sidewalk right now ame because of this other image I wish I took a picture of. They work with concrete, but that includes brick work and stone work too -- not just sidewalks. We used to drive through a neighborhood that was a bit older than ours. Probably started in the late 1800's. This contractor had a sign telling about their brick and stone work on the side of a building. I could tell it had been there for a few decades. Long before the house was deserted and then reoccupied. And then had some brick work done, but the brick work exposed the stones underneath. And then the house was deserted again. So all around the sign was something like a too-old patchwork quilt of 5-8 different attempts at fixing the building over the decades. It looked horrible, and yet that sign proclaiming their expertise!
But it worked because I remembered it, had to do some research on how dumb is that company, and in the process found out they're one of the best in the city. lol
