'Self-funded' Donald Trump preparing to seek big-donor money | U.S. ELECTIONS

(click on link for full story)

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The billionaire presidential candidate who prides himself on paying his own way and bashed his competition for relying on political donors now wants their money — and lots of it.
Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, recently hired a national finance chairman, scheduled his first fundraiser and is on the cusp of signing a deal with the Republican Party that would enable him to solicit donations of more than $300,000 apiece from supporters.
His money-raising begins right away.
The still-forming finance team is planning a dialing-for-dollars event on the fifth floor of Trump Tower in New York, and the campaign is at work on a fundraising website focused on small donations. In addition to a May 25 fundraiser at the Los Angeles home of real estate developer Tom Barrack, he'll hold another soon thereafter in New York.

Donald Trump is very adamant that he should be president in part because he is not financially beholden to anyone. "I’m using my own money," he said during his campaign announcement speech. "I’m not using the lobbyists. I’m not using donors. I don’t care. I’m really rich." To prove his point, he held up a sheet of paper detailing his assets. Billions in real estate and stocks! Rich guy. Doesn't need donors.

Trump was clear in the primary that if he made it to the general election he would need support ... he never said anything different ...he did spend about 100 plus million of his own money in the primary

REAL CLEAR POLITICS POLL.............

Politics
IS THE DIE CAST THIS FALL? 6th Anniversary Show Answers 'Maybe' and 'Yes!'

With today's RealClearPolitics poll showing Clinton ahead by six points nationally, Lowry/Alter/Green debate if Trump's chances are 40%/20%/or 5% based on his AmericaFirst meta-argument vs. his lunacy (butler, women, wall, muslims, default on debt, John Miller, David Duke...). While it appeared that Speaker Paul Ryan has little option, reality also intruded in the form of his long-time racist butler and exposes of his piggish behavior toward women and posing as his publicist to talk about his prowess. Rich Lowry and Jonathan Alter are amazed and amused by Republicans who previously called Trump a cancer and lying sack of s*** are now rushing to endorse him. The Host asks Rich - whose National Review adamantly opposed Trump for the nomination -- if he'd become a #NeverTrump in the General Election akin to how his predecessor Bill Buckley once chased the Birchers out of the GOP. ...

[h=3]Trump and RNC Announce Fundraising Agreement[/h]

Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee have signed a joint fundraising agreement that will allow donors to write checks of up to $449,400. The agreement, announced late Tuesday night, will allow the Trump campaign to raise cash that the national party can spend on both his campaign and other Republican efforts. The agreement established two committees: The Trump Make America Great Again Committee, between the RNC and the Trump campaign, and Trump Victory, which includes the campaign, the RNC and a list of state GOP parties, including Arkansas, Connecticut, Louisiana, New York and Virginia. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement that the money will go toward expanding ground, ...Read more

Donald Trump says no to super PACs, demands others...

(click on link for full Article)

Republican front-runner Donald Trump called on unlimited money groups backing his candidacy to drop their support on Friday— and demanded other candidates do the same.
“I am self-funding my campaign and therefore I will not be controlled by the donors, special interests and lobbyists who have corrupted our politics and politicians for far too long,” Trump said in a statement. “I have disavowed all Super PAC’s, requested the return of all donations made to said PAC’s, and I am calling on all Presidential candidates to do the same. The character of our country is only as strong as our leaders — the only special interest I am beholden to is the American people and together we will Make America Great Again!”

At this point no one cares what he does. I was doing unofficial campaign work for him for awhile and dealt with a ton of supporters from different backgrounds. His driving force is people fed up with political correctness, the establishment in general, and the race baiting politics/agenda pushing the media engages in. That is a gigantic demographic. He gets a boatload of support just for social reasons that have nothing to do with actual policy.

He can flip flop on practically anything he wants now besides immigration and he wouldn't lose his voter base.

Lol...did I seemingly ignore you? Lol. I kind of figured at some point he was gonna have to solicit help. It's a sad fact that it takes lots of money to become President. I'll be watching.
Thats understandable that a person running for president needs a lot of help/money to run a campaign, but he told us he wasn't doing that.

Is that honesty?

Why do I get the feeling my post will be responded to with Deflection?

Can you find where he said he wasn't going to? All I have ever heard about is him saying he hasn't so far.

I don't know If he ever said he wouldn't ask for money In the future but I don't understand why he would brag about not accepting monies from big corporations and then decide to start now.

What Is the point? lol :D
