Great question!...I would Strongly Suggest both partners get into The Church and let God do the rest. The Scriptures are our Road map to heaven. We just need to beleive what it says to do, and sit under a Man of God who can help the people.

As a Minister, and Bible teacher, I strongly urge be careful who's Church you want to attend. Remember always, Jesus Christ and his hand picked Apostles only had One Church, One set of Rules, 10 commandments, and The written word to guide all of us. Be very careful that if a Church does not practice or adhere 100% to the Apostle's Doctrine ( I Timothy 4 verse 16) and Acts 2 verse 42., do not involve yourselves with False teachers teaching False Doctrines. Amen

Yes, and if you "Beleive on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou and thine house shall be saved"...However "BELEIVING" Also includes Beleiving ALL OF HIS WORD, and the Examples Shown in Scriptures...

Example #1...Apostle Philip met an Ethiopian Eunich in Acts Chapter 8 verse 36-38...
"And as they went on their way, they came upon a certain WATER: And the Eunich said, SEE HERE IS WATER, WHAT DOES HINDER ME TO BE BAPTIZED? And Philip said, IF THOU BELEIVE WITH ALL THY HEART, THOU MAYEST. And he answered and Said "I BELEIVE JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they BOTH WENT DOWN INTO THE WATER BOTH PHILIP AND THE EUNICH; AND HE BAPTIZED HIM".

So there is one example, of someone who beleived, but still he had to be Water Baptized. So the doctrine of not needing to be Water Baptized as part of the Salvation Plan is simply false teaching.

Also example #2 is found in Acts 2 verse 38, and When Apostle Peter told Cornelius and his Family in Acts 10 verses 43-48 They all had to be Water Baptized....Everyone please read this in your Bible to realize this is serious.

Notice when we read What Peter was telling us in those two verses. In Verse 20, he speaks about how 8 people on the Ark were saved by water: Noah, His Wife, his 3 sons, and the 3 wives of the sons...Then in Verse 21, he explains likewise, "Baptism (in water) does now SAVE US"...Jesus, also stated this in Mark 16: verse 16.."HE THAT BELEIVES, AND IS BAPTIZED, SHALL BE SAVED........"
Better to quote the passage so that the Public so that people may know not to pick and pick words what you want...that is skip and hop method will not lead to a good understanding of God's Word.

Thanks

I think you are the one twisting things. Just come out and say exactly where I am wrong if you can prove it...Either that, or let us move on because The Word of God is not debateable..

"Beleive on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved"...Very True!...However, you cannot just beleive in him, then not follow the exact teachings, he taught us through himself and his Apostles, sorry ofto does not work that Way.

Jesus told us in John 5 verse 39, To SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES"..The Apostles said or did exactly that..Paul..Acts 17 verse 2/also verse 11. Mark 1 verse 15.."beleive the Gospel"...not cherry pick what you like only, read and obey all of it.
Psalm 119 verses 27-28
"Make me understand the ways of thy precepts ( your word) so shall I talk of thy wonderful works. My soul melts, for heaviness: strengthen thou me ACCORDING TO THY WORD."
ETC, ETC.

Even in The Old Testament, people read scripture before a Bible was ever printed!

Read: Joshua 1 verse 8.
You already said very true then that's true. The case closed.

Thank you

So you are minister of COC I guessed. Very true on Apostle Doctrine, the problem is do you really adhere 100% to the teaching of the Apostle? Think twice or thrice...

Thank you for now I have to go since I have my work to finish

Hi. look what you have done in the passage you posted. I just told you to post the verses but you did a terrible error. I have emboldened to see if you figure to what you have done... Here is a quote and see the difference. BTW, I am not impress with those capital letters where it has not been capitalized in the bible and the phrase " (sin alone)" you have just added the words of God. That will be a two in a row for now...

1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

It should be understood that floods of water during NOAhs day is a form of JUDGMENT. It is the ARK of safety that saved Noah's family from the floods of water. The ARK symbolizes Christ. Water of baptisms is "The like figure" only and that's all.It does not saves anyone. You force that then it will end you up to hell...

Now you are twisting the Word of God.
Ithe clearly states "The like figure, whereunto even Baptism doth now save us......."
You just read it for yourself, that Water Baptism is essential to being a Born Again Child of God, not just Repentance, not just simple beleif. It is all part of the equation. You can't just cherry pick the 1 or 2 you like and skip the parts youdon'the agree with..

I did not twists the words of God. You just didn't understand the word of God of the "like figure". It is actually you have added to the words of God and that is already a sin on your part. I will no in wonder at the start that everything you will post will be against the words of God. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Thus not by works of righteousness that the beleiver is saved but by the Holy Spirit regeneration(not baptismal). Plainly, the proof text says, NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; water baptism is a work of righteousness.

It's a funny thing if you interpret that to what you mean, so we expect the water to lift up the Baptismal candidate above the earth. And we should expect the ark to submerge first if is the kind of LIKE figure to which you allude. The 8 souls were saved physically through the flood not spiritually.

BTW, Noah was saved by grace prior to the Flood. (see Gen.6:8)

The first Christian Service at Jerusalem. Apostle Peter preached the Message in Acts Chapter Two....when he finished preaching. Those who heard his message, and felt conviction said in verse 37: " Men and Brethren, WHAT MUST WE do??

Peter told all of them the following in Acts 2 verse 38 "Repent, and Be Baptized everyone of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ, for remission of sins, and you shall receive the Holy Ghost"

Again, Water Baptism is necessary to be obedient to God's word. No excuses..Amen

Of course, there will be no excuses here. Then again you have a little understanding of the English word "for". I would suggest to go, search and study it first before you throw another verse. Hopefully you already understood what is Peter is saying.
