So, when I was very young my father was deployed. Soon after he came back and out of the military, my parents divorced, my father married my first step mom. She automatically became like my real mother. She fed me when my family couldn't afford food and bought me clothes when I had little. My mother went and married my step father. He had anger issues and would go around screamed about me and calling me very colorful names. DHS reportS started being made against my father for duck taping my mouth and shutting me in the car as punishment. Nothing happened and I stayed with him. Not to long after that my step mom and father divorced which broke my heart. He later on married my 2nd step mother who never really like me. He started physically punishing me and i was removed from his house by DHS. I started living with my 1st step mom thereafter. When I was in the hospital a few months ago my father came and tried to chow me. I got an order of protection against him after that. Lately he has been attempting to get one against me and claims that all the times he hits me it was out of self defense. I love them so much, but sometimes I can't help but think why would my family do this? Everyone says they love me but i cant see it. How do I see that they care about me???

Sounds like they all have serious issues. Parents who love their kids, do not try to choke them. I think DHS needs to remove you out of your parents house, into another home with parents who will treat you well. Honestly, all of them, including you, need some serious counseling and therapy.

DHS has removed me from my father's house. I am in therapy. I have been for a couple years. I don't want to be put into a foster home if I am being completely honest. I feel like that would cause me to go into a deeper depression

So who are you living with right now? Is the therapy helping you at all?

I am currently living with my first step mom and her husband. No, therapy isn't working for me because I have issues trusting therapists so I dont open up to them.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to respond to my post with such kind words! And, I have had some trials, but you are dealt a hand of cards in life and you have to find where your source comes from to be able to give you the strength to deal with all of that. I am not the strongest person in my faith, but I have seen God work miracles in my life multiple times, and He is and always will be where my source of strength is. I wasn't dealt this hand for no reason, there is a greater plan. Thank you so much for your kind words! God bless you!

Aw :) thank you so much :) I have found it true. The only thing that has ever lifted me up from rock bottom has been my faith. My source of strength and hope is only one thing and will always be one thing. I've learned that earthly things will betray you and hurt you, but the Father made us in His image and He will never forsake us. Trials May be placed in our way, but through them you grow further in your relationship with the Father and you learn how much He does love all of His children and how much strength and hope He is able to provide. I am not sorry for any of the things that have been put in my way, because they have lead me to realize this over and over.

I've read some of your replies on other threads, and I must say I'm very impressed with the maturity you possess at only the age of 13. One thing I'd like to warn you about, though. Try not to call the men or boys here "sweetie". This is a christian site, but there are many perverts and weirdos here, so please be careful. :)

Is your father in treatment for his disorder? Sounds like so many other cases of PTSD. Anger management is a big concern for men returning from deployment in the war zone.

Haha, counceling is required for him. Get this- Before all of this he was a therapist who helped with PTSD and mental illness

You don't want to hurt your father but he needs to learn boundaries.

Just because he donated sperm does not make you his personal punching bag.

You are a beloved child of God and your biological father is wrong.

Thank God you have people protecting you and that your step mom is willing to step in and be what a real loving mother should be.

Will pray for you and your father.

For a while I disowned my biological father for what he did to me, my brothers and my mom, but eventually God helped me to,forgive him.

I have forgiven him. I don't know his reasons, perhaps it's a reaction in the moment, or "the want to better me" just shown in a wrong way...
Back in the hospital I was aloud a "last wish" cuz everyone thought I was going to pass (I didn't by the way haha :D ) But, I wrote a note to my father telling him that I loved him and I forgave him and hope he finds faith and new life in the Father, I gave it to the doctors and I said I want my last wish to be that if I do pass you give that to my father. I made a doctor cry...

He is required to get counceling now. Not to mention that he made a non smart decision and is now arrested :/ Eventually someone has to learn...right?...

Yes :) I am very blessed to have my step mother :) :) Something good can come out of every situation :)
