ROFL!!! What, you want me to "sugar coat" the message to make it easier for them to swallow? :)
I have learned a valuable lesson through observation that a "spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down...in a most delightful way."

LOL! I remember that one! Also, the Devil knows it's easier to draw flies with sugar than with salt. :)

No, dont change the apostles words on the harder things but maybe you could add a Barney video (or a candyman song) as Tourist had posted, to help take that edge off.

Between a breath (an intermission) or at the end.

My mom added sugar to our meds when we were little, and it did help it go down easier.

Just sayin'

Then seeing posts from other Christians who have every opportunity to talk about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and instead talk about judgment without Him. There is enough death and hopelessness in the world and we as believers are supposed to be spreading the message of reconciliation not the message of death.
yes, i can't remember reading anywhere that 'the judgement and condemnation of the Lord is our strength'

This thread was meant as a warning, it was not meant to be a message of fluff, or a message of gumdrops and lollipops for those who continue to rebel against God and against His Holy One. If you want someone to speak comfortably to you as you go down into the pit, then go to teachers like Joseph Prince who will tell you just what you want to hear, but perhaps not according to the Truth.

God has always sent messengers to warn his people from the error of their wicked ways, but as we see many times in scripture these messengers were never well received by the disobedient and rebellious house of Israel. So why should we think the Gentiles would be any different? The warnings I've posted are a part of what God said would happen in the last days by way of Jesus and his holy apostles. But if you want to reject and refuse to hear all the warnings in scripture, then your blood will be on your own hands because I have not ceased to warn the wicked of ongoing sinful behavior.

Ezekiel 3:17
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 2:7
And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

Ezekiel 3:18
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
your postings of scripture don't really fit with the thread either unless you think these verses are of devil doctrines??

I agree...two completely different mindsets at work.

There are warnings of people coming in to get believers away from the pure gospel of the grace of Christ and that is people coming and adding things that we must do to "maintain" salvation for going to be with the Lord. That's what Paul was constantly fighting with in his ministry. Judaizers coming in and perverting the gospel.

In that post I was explaining the thread was a warning, hence the verses I posted. The seducing spirits and the doctrines of devils are what cause many to be led astray and fall away from the faith, even though several posters on this forum do not believe it is even possible for one to fall away from the faith and lose salvation. This is why I posted multitudes of scripture to confirm this very Truth, even though it might seem depressing to others. :)

That's just one example out of a myriad of others even more subtle and more dangerous.

Actually, the "die" message was what I came away with after reading the OPs posts. The message I came away with was not life but death. You must have missed the last part when I typed myself happy again. The Bible verse in song about beholding what manner of love the Father has given unto us.. it became my last thought after reminding myself of the Gospel of grace and truth that Jesus brought.

For me it is frustrating at times to come to CC after being out at work in the world where there is no hope for the unsaved man. Feeling maybe a bit sad I didn't say more to someone about Jesus and wishing I had shared some good news and taken more opportunity.

Then seeing posts from other Christians who have every opportunity to talk about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and instead talk about judgment without Him. There is enough death and hopelessness in the world and we as believers are supposed to be spreading the message of reconciliation not the message of death.

Doesn't that seem a bit odd to you too BeyondET??

i love you, Lynn. :)

it's best for all of us to always be on our toes, concerning ourselves first and then others...
if we feel that we must 'prove' our rightness to men, then we would be proving our
wrongness to God...we refer to when that 'spirit' of contention or railing comes in.,..
for this is clearly the work of the flesh...

often it is possible for the scriptures to have different levels of understanding, hence
often it is possible to mis-understand where others are coming from...so tolerance
becomes a virtue even as Christ is tolerant towards us in our growing and making
mistakes...

often the most valuable teachers are those who we don't agree with or understand -
they can make us search and question and grow in numerous ways...

it's the loving part also that is one of our greatest challenges, for the Bible teaches us
that the more we LOVE, the less we will be loved'...we have found this to be so...

It's adding onto the gospel of the grace of Christ for salvation. Anything any one adds onto Christ that you have to do in order to "maintain" salvation for going to heaven is NOT the gospel. Paul was all over any Judaizer that came with the message to add unto Christ alone for salvation. That is what he was warning the Ephesian elders in Acts about.

Shows it coming behind here

1 Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Its a stumbling block forbidding marrying Paul said LET (in respects to marrying) for that very cause itself

1 Cr 7:2 Nevertheless,to avoid fornication, LET every man have his own wife, AND LET every woman have her own husband.

I agree...the doctrine of losing your salvation is a more subtle and dangerous one...

.there are those that say all kinds of things to pervert the gospel but this one about adding onto the gospel in order to "maintain" is the #1 thing that Paul was fighting the most throughout his whole ministry. The "working for your salvation" is the most subtle and dangerous doctrine there is.

Then there are those that use the term "grace" to justify their lifestyle of sin too. Of course this is not grace at all because true grace teaches you how to live godly in this present world.
