There seems to be a lot of anti men and anti woman threads circulating on CC. What's going on? There are no bad men or bad women - just bad people. Individuals do wrong not people of one sex or the other! Yes men up and leave without explanation and so do women - even ones in marriages. People are cowards, if they can avoid confrontation they will. It leaves the other one hurt and confused but they get over it. It shouldn't frighten one into never again embarking on another relationship and declaring the opposite sex a no-go area.

Just sayin'..

Those threads must be on Forum Pages I don't visit....so can't comment on them.......but, I agree with your statement.

I have to say like Mr Elephant

I must be missing those threads..well missing might be the wrong word LOL!

I once said I would never get married again...been married for 16 years now ...2nd marriage..

I think people need to understand as well, that someone saying they are a Christian does not mean your life will be perfect if you marry them..

There have been many of these type of posts just recently. I tend not to look in particular forums just "latest" and they keep coming up.

This is nothing new. A few years ago i remember making the same complaint. I used to try to point out that problems are not because of gender. People still create new bashing threads and resurface old ones. But it's been a non-stop issue for years.

LOL And my muscles hurt later in the day when I don't confront. Not confronting literally makes me stand rigid and then hurt from not saying anything.

I wish I were a coward to confrontation. Not often needed, so it would make life easier. LOL

Men? Women? Meh. Just don't notice past mildly amused. I get images of people on here long before I really get to know them. About 25% of the time, I pick the wrong gender.

Blond thinks that both genders need to remember we are all flawed individuals. The trick is finding the other flawed individual that will put up with your flaws....and like it...lol

I agree. I find it sad when people become cynical of the opposite sex because of failed relationships or marriages; especially when they continue to choose the same type of people or make the same mistakes over and over again.

I agree. Mostly when a woman refuses to talk to me (like all the time) I never thought of it as her fault. It's more likely my fault...but I've been told I'm very pessimistic about myself lol. But yeah it's definitely a problem.

What i have noticed is a rise in threads where people come here pretending to be something/someone they are not. How do I know? Well, experience, I suppose. That and certain "tells." As a writer, I'm pretty good at defining a person by their writing style, content, vocabulary level, and such. Not 100%........but pretty good, and also based on instincts I suppose.

The first "tell" is when a new member goes to all the trouble of searching the Internet for a Christian Site, then jumps through the necessary hoops to join, and once their account is activated, they immediately post something about one of the "hot topic" issues that usually fuel debate/disagreement on a Christian Site. Most people here will know what those issues are. Right off, I got alarms sounding......and I proceed with caution, or simply ignore their posts/comments.

More than a few times, within a short period, they are no longer active members here.

........and, at the risk of starting an ALL OUT WAR here.........the one example of sexist bias is the one some people hide behind Scripture.....
