House GOP leaders on Wednesday announced that they will begin restricting contentious amendments on spending bills, a move that critics say violates the party’s commitment to regular order. Speaker Paul RyanPaul RyanBudowsky: Elizabeth Warren’s mission PROMESA’s promises fall short House hopes for strong showing on Puerto Rico bill MORE (R-Wis.) used most of a conference meeting Wednesday morning to outline the party’s new strategy to unjam the appropriations process. For remaining spending bills, all amendments will be approved by the House Rules Committee before the debate reaches the floor. GOP leaders hope the new rules will lend control to what has been a chaotic appropriations process ...Read more

Does this matter to you?

God Bless Paul Ryan. He is truly a good man. I particularly like the fact he is focused on his health, his family, and on God. All other things being equal, I will always support an athlete over a sedentary person. Athletes have stronger desire and drive.

This, along with your other post about the GOP agenda should Trump win, makes me think of the Titanic. I'm sure there were dedicated members of the crew who acted professionally and with dignity and respect towards the passengers they knew were about to die. It didn't change the outcome. The GOP is about to sink. They will lose the 2016 Presidential election and not long from now, they will lose majority in Congress. They will also have to watch the Supreme Court swing left and then swing further left. Paul Ryan has the unenviable job of having a position of leadership during the GOP downfall and will likely hold his head high as the darkness closes in on his party. We all must understand that God is in control and His plan leads to very dark times that must take place prior to Christ's return. I'm going to miss a lot of my worldly comforts and distractions as order breaks down, but look forward to eternity and it's wonders.

You realize I'm posting Published News Articles right? Not writing Op Eds. :)

I post the stories, people can read them or not, and decide for themselves what to think about the story, or the person of interest in the story.

Of course I realize you are posting published news articles. My point is you have thousands to choose from. Why this one? Or why so many? Have you noticed the number of responses? doesn't that suggest you are wasting time posting material of little or no interest. I'd assume you have an interest in the particular stories you choose and therefore have an opinion. That is why I asked you if the material in this story matters to you. If not, it seems more like spamming the news forum.

You would be amazed at what interest people. Now, I could ONLY POST DONALD TRUMP Articles AND have zillions of comments, for some of you here ONLY want to see those posted. Post them yourselves.

As for so many..........lots of News reported on every day......I don't judge the Articles I post on the number of responses, if we judge things that way, the Church would not do a lot of "witnessing" would they. If I find it interesting, humorous, informative, or just plain weird, I post it and see what comes.

BTW............you can always place me on your IGNORE list, that way you won't have to be bothered.

If these comments of yours are coming from the fact that I only agreed with about 50% of that list of things wrong with America you posted on another thread, then that's weird to. I did not criticize you personally, just said I was "about fifty fifty with the list." Why would you take that personally?

Ya know. Paul Ryan did absolutely nothing to stop Obama....just like his predicessor Boehner. So what is there to like about the guy? I mean really. He just proved himself to be a spineless political hack job like everyone else in washington.
He's got a nice family and he works out....big deal. He sold us down the river from the confines of his gated community.

I know that a lot of people that visit this site seem to enjoy bizarre conspiracy theories and tend to obsess on crazy youtube videos that disseminate such theories. I'd like to think you are not an enabler of that sort of material.

I asked you if this particular thread meant anything to you? I didn't think it was a confusing question. Every day someone posts a story about some minutia involving someone in the republican party saying or doing something that may or may not affect the election. It's fairly meaningless information, the sort of stuff television news stations broadcast on slow news days.

I am not familiar with a thread about things wrong with America. I may have made a comment on that thread while watching NBA games or some other television show. I'll have to go and look for it.

When people remind others they can choose to place them on an ignore list, how is it that they don't realize how condescending that sounds? If you failed to realize it, I'm telling you it is very condescending of you to mention it. On the other hand, if you wrote it knowing it was condescending and that was your intention, you might want to dial it down a notch. It's possible you are not actually smarter than others you look down on. Capeesh?

I do recall when Obama was first elected and he invited a roomful of republicans to share their thoughts on Obamacare and other liberal agenda items. Ryan was in the room and he didn't seem to understand that his comments and all the comments made by republicans were going to be ignored, if not laughed at in private. At that moment, I felt the best course of action for republicans was to refuse to increase the debt limit and not flinch. Just let it all fall apart. Find out what happens when you don't increase spending and debt and the economy crumbles, as democrats predicted. Is it possible their is a silver lining and all the politicians lose their jobs and we have to start over with a new currency that won't be a fiat currency and we find an improved type of government that is more accountable to the people? Or, sit their looking stupid and let Obama bypass congress and make laws from the oval office and lead us into a darker place than if republicans stood their ground and let the government go broke. So I think I agree with you. Personally, I just like Paul Ryan, despite his shortcomings.
