there was a thread started some days back...it was hideous...about Joseph Prince

I asked people to stop answering because of the ugliness and vitriol

I was personally attacked for doing so...for trying to bring peace

the thread has been shut down...people were literally tearing each other apart

go look up my recent posts...you will see I have been trying to get folks to stop and think about what they are doing

I have been really close to leaving...that is how fed up I am with the nastiness...and believe me, others ...decent people...are about ready to leave also

that should not be happening...

this thread, is just the other side of the coin...and yes, I do post if I have something to say ...but I do NOT attack the way I have been attacked here ...

Heresy hunters are a despicable lot but they aint a patch to heresy practitioners! :rolleyes:

I may regret posting this but....your post is an attack...it says folks who post against heresy...

1.have a puny concept of God.
2. Keep others from knowing the Biblical God.
3. Spray venom with their words.
4. Think their words will save others and dont trust God to work.
5. Don't know that God is the creator of the world
6. Ridicules their knowledge by comparing the god the believe to a toddler playing with playdough.

well, I don't always agree with you, but in one thing we do agree...religious people are heresy hunters often enough

you have to grow a thick skin if you actually speak words of truth

I only pray some day you will speak words of truth from a humble and contrite heart, but I doubt my words will make a difference to your thick skin or harden heart.

Your right I am not a peacemaker, but my Teacher is.

Can you say the same or will you continue in your pride to attack anyone who ask you to examine the log in your eye?

in the same sense, I think we have to ignore people who are offended by this thread

and basically attack me for it and get their panties in a knot while telling me how bad I am and how very good they are

that's religion offended at the truth

Heresy hunters are good because they do all of the hard work for us. They're like travel writers who tell us the bad parts of cities to stay out of.

But make no mistake, there’s a huge difference between discerning a spirit of errorthat keeps people from a full understanding of Jesus and accusing people of full-blown heresy that keeps people from receiving salvation. Even though deception is running rampant in the body of Christ, I shun the work of heresy hunters who have made it their mission to discredit anyone and everyone with whose theology they some small a point of contention.

I get emails from heresy hunters every day suggesting I expose some ministry or another (and sometimes calling me foul names for hitting "delete"). Most of the Christian personalities these heresy hunters are working to expose aren’t heretics at all, though most flow in a measure of error because none of us have it all right all the time. Some are clearly deceived, but they still don’t qualify as heretics. I also get emails from heresy hunters who sometimes disagree with what I write. But an email last week from a woman named Yvonne took the heresy hunting to a hellish level.

You know in this instance I hate being right. I totally regret posting.

But since I am here, I might as well pray. It doesn't matter what others think or believe or even what I think or believe.

It only matters what God says.

So those who are willing please join me in prayer not only over this thread but the whole forum.

Dear Heavenly Father you know our hearts, you know our minds. Heal us Lord. Chase away the darkness, bring your light to shine your wisdom and truth in our lives. We are nothing without you. Lord be our mediator, Lord teach us to be like You. Teach us how to respond with your love and grace and forgive us when we speak in bitterness and pride. Lord, thank you for your many blessings, wash us clean so we might shine your light clearly. Tame to our tongues so that we do not curse with the same tongue we claim to bless God with. You know....we are allowed to agree to disagree on things as well! To me as long as Jesus is being preached as our Savior by grace through faith in His blood alone - we are on the same page and it's a good one. We will be spending eternity with Him - together. None of us knows as we ought to know Paul said.....
