I say I don't care when.......??

Why are you lying to yourself? Obviously you do care or those things wouldn't hurt you. I strive for assertiveness and courage in the midst of painful stuff.
 
I choose not to care about most things or let things bother me. That's just how I am. It drives some people crazy, but it's so much easier. :p

But I never actually tell anyone that I don't care when they're telling me something. A girl I dated told me that was cruel, so I stopped saying it lol.

Umh.. Yes. But love is always care and never giving up. U have not a reason to love someone, including when they hurting u. I thing love look like that.

Sounds like you have a very dysfunctional way of dealing with problems between you and another. This will only get worse and come between you and every person you care about until you learn better, healthier ways to deal with people. Or if you don't learn, then just end up alone and unhappy.
 
She's only 16. When I was at that age, I also had a very dysfunctional way of dealing with problems also. We learn by trying different ways of coping.

Not sure of your point about her age? Does that mean just say nothing and let her continue on in dysfunction? Or wouldn't it be wiser to actually point it out to her and show her that it doesn't work and the consequences to it? Seems like she has a better chance of changing that way than just saying 'She's only 16, everyone's dysfunctional at that age'. People who are shown things have a better chance than people left to their own. I would be doing a disservice to her to say 'She's just 16' and let her go on her way and not trying.

I just felt that people were a little strong with her and I was just giving a reminder of her age. I doubt if I would have listened to much advice at that age. And hormones only make a 16 year old girl more emotional about a lot of things.

And your initial response to her did not give her any learning points. For instance, if you don't allow yourself to ever "feel" hurt, you also begin to numb your capacity to feel joy. Feelings are good - it is just important what you do with them. Her feelings of being wounded could be the greatest beginning of a closer intimacy with God if shared with him. Tears are good when shed in his presence. At those times we begin to experience God as Comforter. If Jesus said to love our enemies, (those who hurt us), there is the implication that we would also care about them.

People who hurt you are usually hurting people also.

Will she read all this and take it in?

Lol. What's wrong about my ages. And what's the consequences? Im stay humble and help people but just don't care. I thing u never know this is right or wrong whrn u have ever do a mistake,, right?
