Gosh you sound like you swallowed the project fear manifesto, not surprising as you have friends who wanted to stay.
Anyway, like it or not you are spouting of the doom and gloom of project fear, amazing how many people seem to think that we will end up with no on wanting to trade with us and our economy wrecked so badly that we will have super inflation with 90% unemployment and a loaf of bread costing £100,000,000
I'm reading how bad things are already because of the vote. The Pound vs. the dollar is worse than it's been since 1985.
Sorry try again, the pound dipped quite a bit after the results started to come in and yes it did drop to lowest for 30 odd years, but of course that was short lived. The pound rose significantly in the weeks before the election as markets thought a Remain vote was inevitable, so in a way it was artificially inflated to start with. Closed today just a few cents short of what it was for a couple of weeks in February, so it has not dropped that much. It will pick up as soon as markets see we are not bankrupt.
Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, all want out of the UK.
Erm NO. Some people in Scotland want to see an independent Scotland, but the majority in that referendum said remain, everyone else is happy in the UK.
If you mean the EU, then yes, Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to remain, but Wales voted to stay. No country is going to leave the UK and go independent any time soon, if at all. 59.9% of London voted to Remain, more than Northern Ireland did with 55.8%.
A recession is likely and it could trigger deeper problems throughout Europe. Germans may rebel against having to prop up the weak members of the EU.
Really? and you know that how exactly? More Project Fear rhetoric. UK will not plunge into recession and if we do it will be no worse than the recessions brought on by the EU. As for problems in the EU, yes there will be more problems, EU is going to panic trying to find a solution for all the money they will loose from us. Other nations will want thier own referendum and yes Germany will want to trade with us as before, which will not go down at all well.
In regards to health insurance, it can be very misleading to share a single story and think that it reflects an entire health care system. I'm sure there are people who's very lives were saved by NHS.......
...I'm very sad because I have some friends here from England and they wanted to stay in the EU. They seem to know their will be financial difficulties coming soon that will make life much more of a burden in England. It could last for decades. Their NHS could collapse. That would be awful. How could this happen to England?
Without living in UK you do not appreciate or fully understand the NHS and the problems it has had to deal with from governments trying to destroy it in order to sell it to private companies.
Althought people think its "Free", well yes it is free, anyone can turn up to doctors, they say "oh no that not look good, here is an appointment to see specailist at hospital, specialist says "oh no, we have to operate", operation comes and is success, years of after care and not a bill in sight. That is same for all. However we do pay for it, we have National Insurance Tax taken out of our wages which pays for benefits and the NHS.
Decades of hardship, WOW, REALLY? can they see into the future? HOw about we will have decades of prosperity and wealth?
Forums and Facebook is full of the REMAIN voters making all these comments, its like they are in shock and just repeating the mantra they have been taught as if it was fact. We are the 5th strongest economy in the world for goodness sake, we are not going to end up with decades or even years of economic problems and people loosing tons of money, well the politicians might.
Seriously I am fed up of hearing how we are all going to die and fade into nothingness now we voted Leave. I am thinking Canada, Japan, China, India, USA, New Zealand, Australia and the list goes on, will all be looking forward to a restriction free trade with us now we do not have the EU telling us who we can trade with an what we can trade.
Future is bright, UK is free and can once again take the world by storm.
