Lordship Salvation is false teaching

The Holy Spirit makes us holy by tearing down spiritual strongholds and convicting us of things we do so we can learn wisdom and self control. However that isn't automatic at the beginning.

That's the difference between justification and sanctification.

Well there are holy and most holy. I would say that what you described is becoming more towards the latter. All believers are holy; that's why they're called holy ones (saints).

Either Holy or not holy...

All we are called to "move towards" is (persevering and pressing on for) that UPWARD CALL in CHRIST...taking hold of HIM who took hold of us...

Astonishing. This guy teaches that saying we have to live our lives under submission to the lord Jesus Christ is a false gospel. He calls that a gospel of works. (about 21:40)

Having a history of some people "twisting" what was actually said by not telling everything that was actually said - I listened to what he said and wrote it down word for word.

He said Galatianism = Lordship salvation : "That to get to heaven you not only have to accept Christ but you have to live under the submission of the lordship of Jesus Christ for your whole life and if you don't - you will not go to heaven"...he then calls that mixture of grace and works.

This is what galatianism is and lordship salvation is that some internet/church preachers are saying today.

I agree...for a person to say that they have done everything that they should have is just fooling themselves. James said "Whatsoever is not of faith is sin".

This includes you too.....have you lived your entire life under the lordship of Jesus in every detail as he talks about in the message? This is why the gospel of the grace of Christ is a mystery to you. You do not understand the difference between self-righteousness and Christ's righteousness that He gives to us.

Yes, it does apply to me as well. I strive to live in obedience in all things.

Ahhhh...but herein lies the rub my friend....you need to be perfect.

Only Christ's righteousness gets people in heaven - not our own. When you get a revelation of that - you will see the kingdom of God and it is all based on the grace of Christ alone.

When you rely on Christ alone for all things - then His life will lead you to obedience from His grace inside of you.

You are saved and going to heaven because of Christ's finished work for you.

No, it's reality. If that were true then no one is saved, because no one has lived under the submission of the lordship of Jesus Christ for their whole life.

By perfect I assume you mean sinless. Who said I have to be sinless? GOD hasn't. I'm under grace, not the law of Moses.

Not when you are still working for your salvation. You don't get to claim grace just as a backup to your failed works for salvation. Sorry, that's just not the way it works.
 
The law is self-effort and self-righteousness. It is Christ's obedience that makes us righteous.

Romans 5:19 (NASB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.



Romans 10:2-4 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

[SUP]4 [/SUP] For Christ is the end of the law ( self-effort and self-righteousness) for righteousness to everyone who believes.

That's just your lawless version of grace that says since we can't do anything right, we don't have to do anything right.
