Most of you on the News sub-forum are honest patriots. We mostly agree. Sometimes disagree. At the end of the day, what we value and wish to work towards is the same. That is, to me, what matters.

I'm mainly thinking of Sirk, Utah, Jennymae, Mitspa, TinTin, Kaylagirl, and Oncefallen.

The rest of y'all are morons, but I suffer your presence because Jesus told me to...kidding...maybe...
I'm not sure that Tennessee country boy would like to appear next to me in a sentence (oh boy that word sentence is funny lolol).

You gonna let Dr. CC-Freud be psychoanalysing you?;)
I'm not sure about you lol. Plus my mind is feeling a little lazy today. In case you haven't noticed I have a tendency to think too much. Lol

I think we are all patients. Some of us could possibly be in-patient tho. Depends on the facilty as to whether we have internet privileges. Lol

What is this thread about? I read thru the first few pages of posts but I was unsuccessful in deciphering the topic. It's Monday, ya know. My mind is still thinking about the fun weekend I had swimming in the Blanco River.

Sirk's way of expressing how much he enjoys the company of most people here. To the point where he can psycho-analyze us on an individual level because he has taken care to be observant.

I'd never post something like this. If y'all want positive affirmation, find a good local Church, call your family, and buy a puppy.

Shows how good a guy Sirk is, really.

How d'ya like that Sirk! I psychoanalyzed you based on your psychoanalysis of others and the forum as a whole. How does it feel to have a taste of your own medicine!

i am deeply offended that you said such nice things about me and actually care about me on an individual basis. Lol

honestly speaking, my intention with this thread was to make it a place where people could be transparent and maybe even laugh at themselves a little. With all of the bickering and self righteousness that goes on around here I thought it might be a nice change of pace to turn it around back on ourselves. But alas, people are prideful and aren't interested in tearing down the sacred cow of self.

me too. I mean who gives themselves a screen name that rhymes with jerk? Maybe it was a Freudian slip and I am a jerk of a human being and it's my way of telling all of you that.

Well they ask for headline like threads. Lol.

Anywho, it occurred to me that pretty much everyone one around here (including myself) is by and large stating their opinions. I mean you get the occasional "I had a word from God and He told me to tell y'all that ya'll are a den of vipers, maybe a liar or (shudder) a false prophet and whatnot. Lol. That said, some you are very thoughtful in your replies...they don't seem to be emotion based etc. Which is sort of what I am trying to be when I communicate with people....esp my son. I guess it is important to me to model for him who to deal with difficult stuff. I can think of a few actually off the top of my head that disagree with me but are always nice about it. I'm sure there are a few that I'm not so nice too....probably a pride thing in me...Lol. Sorry Rachel. :)Maybe they are sent to smooth out a rough spot in me...Lol.

The other personality type I see is (and I don't wanna pick on anyone here) but Blue...lol....she's a real pragmatist...and I honestly love her for it...Lol. Let's see, what is a pragmatist: Like...when they see some difficult situation, they sort just go with their initial "feeling" on the matter, without considering that there are other alternatives. Sorry Blue....love ya.

I think anyone is fair game here.....especially me for calling out Blue. Lol

How do different people strike you here on cc?
Lol your post with the quotes " I had a word from God" was entertaining....I laughed when I read it. :) I think most on CC are very good people with different ideas/views and it's not my job to change them or for them to change me.....we should listen to different viewpoints respectfully and use the Bible as the ultimate filter of whether we accept something personally or not.

Most of the trolls here get banned immediately for saying God spoke to them and that they denounce others......and then skewer Bible verses to fit their "im right you're wrong" attitude.....it serves as divisiveness and does not add knowledge to the discussion.

I try to respond with emotion neutral posts and not rag on other posters....if I have come across as that (im right you're wrong type dude) please understand that was not my intention! We can all have our own viewpoint on certain doctrines as long as we still hold that the only way to God the Father and Heaven is through Jesus the Son and his gift of salvation.

Sirk, I enjoy reading some things you post, although I may disagree with some minor things, I still respect your views and incites into current events! (Bro fist pump in Christ!)

Ok. Now I get to analyze mr des. I think he the youngest of 18 children. From the age of 4, when he was insolent, his father would put him in an old grain sack and beat him with a whatever farm implement was nearby. By that time, his father was nearly 90 and couldn't hit very hard but it still had a lasting impact on des. You now have a fear of enclosed spaces and the smell of sheep manure.

I mean this is all seriousness. I hope and pray that when my boy is 26 like you he has such an awesome mind.
Thank you. I really appreciate those kind words. :) I'm afraid he would have to go through an undesired process of rewiring his central nervous system, though.

This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

Thought in the mind hath made us. What we areBy thought we wrought and built. If a man's mindHath evil thoughts, pain comes on him as comesThe wheel the ox behind . . . If one endure
In purity of thought, joy follows him

As his own shadow - sure.
