Chapel,
Like a lot of "Christians" who simply believe what they have been told to believe, you have shown that you have a ton of things all wrong. You can correct this... BUT NOT IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO.
Willie-T, Ariel82...and all others who have been patient with me.
I am reading, and putting great thought and consideration into your words; that is not to say that I will not challenge them.
I have a busy day ahead of me and will not have time to respond in the way that I really want to; at least not at this time. However, I wish to continue these discussions with you all, as your words help me to see that error in my ways of thinking... There is much more error where that comes from .
This discussion is not to be confrontational, or combative, or to ignore your wisdom... But it is truly a search for knowledge and understanding; I am using other sources as well, reading books, looking online, speaking face-to-face with spiritual leaders.
I believe in God. I believe He is an all powerful being who created all life in the universe. I believe that he gave us His son so that we no longer have to make blood sacrifices with animals to appease Him. And I do believe that it is through Jesus we can have salvation.
But going off of things that I have read...yes even the Bible...and more potently...what I have SEEN and EPERIENCED in life; I do not believe that He is an "all good" God. From a "Christian" viewpoint, God could ( and has) commit some of the most horrible atrocities and still be seen as not having a spot of darkness within Him. If God rapes a baby...then He must have done it for a "good reason" or it's somebody else's fault.
At least for now; I cannot see myself having total faith in a God such as this. I cannot be that blind.
More later guys. Thanks!
