Do you know what it means to support gay marriage? It means that you are condoning i.e. approving of that practice. I would remind you of what Jesus said to the Ephesian Church regarding the Nicolaitans when he said, "But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."As believers in Christ, we should hate what our Lord hates and that naturally because the Spirit of God dwells in us. The Nicolaitans were practicing the same thing as the church in Pergamum, which was the willful eating of food sacrificed to idols and committing sexual immorality as part of that pagan ritual. I would also remind you of what is written in Jude regarding those involved in same-sex life styles:
"In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
Does the above sound like we as believers should support gay marriage? Anyone who is condoning this practice is just as guilty. We are supposed to be the light of the world, not trying to be politically correct. Don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? How can we condone or support such behavior?
The problem that we are having is that these people are proclaiming to be of Christ, but have no intention of repenting and that because they do not recognize their same-sex life style as sin or don't want to recognize it. Instead, they want to justify and embrace it. They want to continue in it. So instead of repentance, they are working to make it the norm in society. Do you not remember what Paul said regarding the issue of sexual immorality?

We in Christ, knowing the truth of God's word, should take our stand for righteousness sake and continue to make it known that same-sex life styles--just like all other sin--is wrong in God's eyes and leads to death. In answer to the original post, NO, we cannot support or condone same-sex marriage. If we have the opportunity to share Christ with those who are living that life style, then we definitely should. But, we should not compromise on the word of God. Those who are living a same-sex life style are deceiving themselves if they think that they can truly be in Christ while willfully continuing in those detestable practices.

No man can give another man God's Truths. God gives them and when he does, they move all to serve him, even the Devil. If you where Gods servant and God spoke through you to homosexuals, no one would be a homosexual. In citing this passage in Leviticus it is important to be aware of the original language used. The word that gets translated as abomination (toevah) indicates a cultic violation not a moral one. For example,eating shellfish is also "toevah". It is not a moral sin. If the writers of Leviticus had intended for it to be describing something immoral they would have used the word "zimmah", which refers to something that is wrong in and of itself, i.e. sin.
Leviticus does not say that being gay is wrong or is a sin. Rather that it a ritual violation, just like eating shellfish and mixing fibers. If you will notice the condemnations of same-sex acts almost always follows prohibition of idolatry. Most same-sex couples that I know do what they do as an expression of love, not to worship an ancient half-man, half bull god.

You are displaying the same error that many do in that, you think that God's love will override His righteous judgment. It doesn't! God's love, grace and mercy for mankind are in operation only while the person is alive. All sin must be accounted for. Jesus was held accountable for the sins of those who would believe in Him. For those who die without faith in Christ, they will be held accountable for their own sins and all sin must be accounted for. Scripture states (and I speak on behalf of God's word) that there will be eternal punishment in the lake of fire for all whose names are not written in the book of life. Eternal punishment in the lake of fire is God's form of dealing with sin for individuals whether you or anyone else approves or not. If you don't agree with that, then the burden of proof is on you, because this is what scripture teaches throughout God's word.

And you are twisting and distorting the word of God. Here are some words for you regarding what God has to say about homosexuality:

Same-sex life styles are sin just like any other sin, which requires repentance. Here is another scripture regarding this and other sins:

The word "arsenokoités " is translated as "men who have sex with men." The definition is "sodomite." As believers in Christ we cannot support nor condone this life style. It is detestable to the Lord.
