It seems Deborah are going on a US tour, which is interesting because i thought they broke up years ago since they basically disappeared. Looks like, other than the vocalist, it's all new members.

From 2008 (and last time i heard mention of them).

Roxx Records is releasing Malchus - The Evil House. It's an English language re-release of the album Dom Zly, but with a bonus song.

Goth band Amos is set to release a 'new' album. By new i mean it was recorded in 2009, but never released.
Not a big fan of this style, and the beginning of it didn't do much for me, but later on it gets more enjoyable. That's my take, anyways.

Exalt The Throne is a new band working on a release. Female fronted band, somewhat typical in my opinion. The near operatic female vocals. Growls mixed in. Heavy/deathy music. But some people like that stuff. Love the sound of the guitar solo though.

Leper toured Mexico recently, and was playing with them there. Skott Shaw ((of Leper)) had a lot of nice things to say about them on fb -- apparently they were contacts for them that helped open the door for Leper to tour there; they usually only play around their hometown in the Chicago area. so i was hearing about Deborah again last year -- pretty sure for at least part of Deborah's US dates, they will be playing with Leper.

EDIT:

yeah according to this, here's one date -- they are playing with Leper & Exegesis (Christian metal from Columbia) in Chicago July 8

I was hoping to be near Chicago around that tie, haha. Doubt i will though.
Seeing Deborah would be cool, not a fan of Leper though.

Have to check out the Argyle project. Blue Stahli... why does that sound familiar?

Every so often i post this video. I love it. And the song. As a teen i used to hear songs all the time that got me fired up. Now it's rare. This is one of those rare songs. This songs and video just encompass every metal cliche, but in a way that works well haha. So it doesn't feel cliche, it' feels like it used to feel years ago. Tons of double bass, heavy music, beastly vocals, black everywhere.. *happy sigh haha
Before this one of the last songs to really be able to get my adrenaline going was Unas, Slayer of the Gods by Nile. When they slow down into the mellow, middle eastern acoustics... then he starts growling those crazy lines, then it kicks back in heavy... *shiver...
Anyways, here we go again.

Everytime I hear death metal vocals, I can't help but picture Cookie Monster on the microphone

Rightio, I quite like Impending Doom though at times I do find it hard at times to follow their darker themes, BUT when I heard this recently..hooh! A metal injection. They really got it going after 2:53

BTW they are great guys behind the scenes.

p.s. Still awaiting Theocracy's new album and to hear something new from Becoming The Archetype (their last album with the new vocalist was pretty darn awesome IMO)

Yeah, that was a great album. Veered away from the core elements too. Not aware of their being 'darker' themes for them haha. Well, beyond the usual.
Not a fan of Theocracy or that genre in general. Well, sometimes i get into certain albums, but i have to be in the mood or the style just annoys me.
As far as BTA i don't know what's going on with them. It's been a while since they've done anything. And i know things seem pretty rocky for them and maintaining a regular lineup.
I'm guessing you head their old vocalists new band already...

Yeah I think talking about the usual haha but I know their great guys and all...Its taken me some years to get into sounds like Theocracy, I love their lyrics and the guitar works amazing...I don't get Death Therapy, not a fan at all but I'm glad Wisdom and is doing something different than the norm.

i'm a huge fan of Leper, but i guess we knew that :)
i'm really far south of there -- if they bring the tour to Atlanta i'll see about going though.

Blue Stahli used to operate under the name Voxis -- if that rings a bell. one of the first people Klayton signed when he made his own label (FiXT).

i'm really happy to see how he listened to fans with the whole AP thing -- when he re-released COD material a few months ago, i posted on his social media how i was really glad to hear that, but essentially it was stuff i'd already heard before, and what i really wanted was a revival of Argyle Park. he seems to always 'give a darn' about what the people who love his art say, and now here's this announcement. i think that's cool of him - not that it was me personally or anything lol, but i think that sentiment i expressed was expressed by a lot of other people too.

i'm excited to see Mark Solomon's name mentioned in that announcement -- hope there are some other surprise guests. it's gotta be more than just those three

Well Soloman was a guest vocalist on the first AP. And it seems he hasn't been doing much in a while, at least not that i'm aware of since White Lighter. He could probably use something to do haha. Though it does seem like an odd combination. I never felt Solomons voice lent well to industrial, though. Also this makes me wonder if this may be any reflection on a change in regards to Klayton's faith by teaming up with someone like Solomon.
And nope, nothing familiar about Voxis or FiXT Records for that matter.
