No not to you but to the OP. Stating an OP that way seems, too me, a way of looking for an argument. Or at least a way to get others to argue.

My truth? "In the beginingvwas the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.". I guess that could be my truth summed up in John 1:1
 
Actually i should have said "the truth" not "my truth" summed up in John 1:1

That is why I was being playful with him, his OP's are often unclear as I felt this one was and so I was egging him on to get him to be clearer but he will just make fun of your efforts lol

Thank you. I hope to have some real groth here but so far i have not seen much beyond "argument for argument sake".

It is a shame. We should be joining together as brothers and sisters of Christ studying Gods Word but all I see is arguments or narrow minded threads with no real meaning besides an argument. Or we should be ministering to those who dont know Jesus as Lord and Savior. But nope! We argue over things that have no impact on our salvation.

Keyboard warriors? i believe that's the term. The anonymity gives people entitlement. And then there are the alliances, and the us and the them.... Makes one really appreciate that Jesus would die for the likes of us.
 
That is part of the problem..."us verse them". Who is "them"? Protestant vs. Baptist? Reformed vs. Non reformed? Those are the divisions i see. Or is it not us vs. them but spreading the Word of God? If we see that as an us vs. them then we are looming at this the wrong way.
 
Even worse if we see it as God vs. satan then we have a real problem as there is no contest between God and satan.
 
Makes you want to spread the Word of God even more knowing that doesnt it.
 
judgement is something you miss. if you seek truth.

Matthew 7: Judging Others

the contest, is with self.

when did we write , or win wars in the spiritual, without gods protection.

in worldly or spiritual thoughts.

without unity of self, then you will already,miss truth.
 
Every word that proceeds from the mouth of God is truth and life.

define truth.

for example
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."John 8:

set you, free from what, so would a lie, be in the way of freedom.

to give meaning to what truth is.

that s the point, could be argued, if you don t know, what the meaning of truth is. and what it sets you free from

is truth, part of believing in god through jesus christ.

would opinion differ.
has it or has it not been conquered. (death)

so one ,would be classed as a lie, the other being truth or true. etc

do you have free will, your own mind to find your own, idea of truth.

the point, you have your own walk of faith. and if you have the holy spirit, then you will never be alone.

however
our weakness , do you have a choice. what is your thoughts.
