This pretty girl comes when I call her. Her name is Henri. (At least I think she's a girl, 'cause she has two little ones she is training.)

We have a lot of free-roaming tamer animals around here. Once, I was walking up to the entrance to our local 7/11 and saw a bird on the door header. I simply held out my finger, and he/she hopped on.

A lot of the squirrels are extra friendly, too. One that I used to feed when I walked our dog would walk right under the dog, and has, on occasion, nuzzled Gordy, nose-to-nose... like they were kissing. A couple of the squirrels will let me scratch their heads.

I'm sure you noticed the two "visitors" in the lake in the photo. Unfortunately, they also get a little too friendly. I never see anyone feeding them, but someone must be.

I bet.
The grey squirrels were quite tame in Scotland. Wouldn't let us touch them though, just grabbed the nut and ran a few paces before sitting down to eat it.
 
We live in Philly, so falcons are rare. But hubby recorded one on a neighbor's antenna.

Thanks all for the posts. Sometimes i click on Like, sometimes i dont thinking i'd reply in particular to some later but never could... Anyway, time i exited, but just now ive been hearing this bird who sings in several notes, but do nto really know what it's called. I am waiting for the bug posts however.. how cute they would be (those chubby, sometimes colorful baby butterflies and moths), would they not?! When we were small, sis would shriek and yell whenever there were photos of worms and snakes in books too-- so i was kind of a scary and scared child too. Once a big ornamental pot was brought into the haus.. and gueess what was seen crawling on sis' side of her shirt?? A big brown spiky caterpillar... what commotion and yelling til it was removed, and the trauma. But in time this sis still loved plants and went on with her career... In time i saw what is there to b e afraid of in a picture... so i still avoid getting close to citrus plants w/ those small crawling things or even the heart shaped leaves of the purple yam... but the photos and tales would be nice to see and hear abt.
