I wonder what goole does with the info. I think I'm signed in when using my phone, but if it is any interest to google that I use google maps all over Europa then let them waste their time tracking me :p I never sign in on my computer though,
I'm pretty sure its just for marketing demographics (keeping track of what people like to look at and buy online). It helps them sell their advertising which is how google makes so much money. Same with facebook and all the social media sites.

Spending my afternoon getting a pedicure.... Haven't had one in MONTHS!!! And it's my early birthday present from my best friend... I'm just sad she's not here with me. Nothing like going to a spa by yourself... This is how I roll... Being by myself, with some relaxation :)

News from my corner of the net:

I tried a new idea for dessert. The church was my guinea pig because we had a church dinner today. I took the crust from a fudge revel bar recipe, but instead of oats I ground them into oat flour. Then I put some chocolate pudding on top of that, but I doubled the eggs and added some cream cheese to the mix, then I threw in a bag of chocolate chips just for fun. Then I baked the whole mess, let it cool, then put some whipped cream and chocolate on top of that.

The crust turned out to be a bit much. Next time I do it with half the crust and twice the pudding.

Linux Mint 18 is out! Hooray! This means nothing to normal people, but to a nerd it means a must-download. Unfortunately I blew through my 5-gig-per-month faster than a friend of mine blows through a speed limit, so my data flow is severely restricted right now. Hooray for bit torrents that don't care about interruptions! I'll get the 1.7 gigabyte system file sometime tomorrow morning, according to my torrent manager.

After church dinner I got home... and realized I had left a flash drive at church that I had to have. Le sigh. Went back to church and it was a good thing I did go back to get that flash drive, because someone had left the fellowship hall door unlocked.

I'm glad it wasn't one of those low-profile flash drives. If you lose one of those, good luck! "Let's see... was it in this computer, or that one, or did I leave it in the computer in the sound booth...?"

I'll do my groceries today and try this thing called "Military Diet" for the next 3 days and see if it works.

And I'm thinking of watching Now You See Me 2 this afternoon.

Chrome? People still use that spyware?

Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised... some people I know IRL still use internet explorer. They just don't know any better.
Really? I had no idea! How is that possible?

Thanks, ZT for letting me know Chrome doesn't support Java.

I use Google Chrome too, it even has my debit card info xD as if they can get anything from that. xD

At work, I'm forced to use IE 9. So I guess that's not so bad. Also my laptop is kinda old, I used to use just Safari, just because it's the default browser. But it's very slow now and I'm not really interested in troubleshooting this thing for 5 hours.

On second thought, about this military diet thing, I think I should reschedule. I feel like I'll be starved to death if I don't.

If tif you really study the word you will see that it will not be sinful for Christians to buy and sell when the mark of the beast is issued in. It just means that antichristians will try to make it real hard for Christians to do so. Render to Babyalon double.

You know if only doing good defeats evil and we walk correctly on Christ's way we probably unknowingly look like some people's worst nightmares. Not judging just saying.

Have you tried the GM diet? Not sure why, but it's a rage among girls in India. :p

Pretty sure that part of Revelation already happened in 1st century AD.

Out of my history classes and learning of history I have never heard of anyone calling fire down from heaven on the first century. In fact the only person I have ever seen (assuming the YouTube video wasn't altered) was pope Francis,

Maybe. But you need to realise John was writing TO the persecuted Christians of his day, not to American Christians in the 21st century. Remember, while the whole Bible is written FOR God's people throughout history, it's not all addressed TO God's people throughout history.

Who told you that? I guess we will have to agree to disagree

No-one told me that. It's what the Bible infers. After all, context determines meaning. If what John shared didn't make sense to the persecuted Christians of his day, it would've been rather pointless.

As for the understanding of reading the Bible within the context of its times, audience, genre etc. - well, that's just biblical hermeneutics. The only correct way to read the Bible involves reading it in this fashion. Not importing patriotic American ideals that have nothing to do with 1st century Jewish/Greek culture.
