Deadlift day was friday.

I widened my stance a little and that seemed to help a lot.

I think I could have gotten 5 plates but I stopped at 475. My left arm was throbbing afterwards in a way that said "mmmm... better not."

One step closer to the goal. And figuring things out with technique, too. Who would've thought that picking weight up off the floor could be so complicated?

I'm back on evening workouts instead of am. Eventually I'd like to switch back to mornings but I've been doing some extra work lately and can't commit to early bedtimes.

I find it harder to motivate myself to work out in the evenings.

Its much easier to start off the day with a good workout.

In the evening you know your workout will take it out of you and then you'll have to go to work on top of it. And try to stay awake plus be physically drained as well.

I hope you find a schedule that works for you. I try to work out on monday, tuesday, thursday and friday. Sometimes that turns into skipping days, moving them to wednesdays and saturdays, or even working out at night...

So sore I could barely run. My chest n arms hurt with every step lol. Feeling good tho.

And yes, burpees do suck. They were a part of my workouts when I was losing weight last year. I don't miss them lol.

It's so neat how our bodies can be as precise as a well tuned clock! I've been feeling sluggish for the past week or so and getting weirdly winded during workouts, and just chalked it up to fatigue from working too many hours and being up later than usual. Went to give blood today and they declined me b/c my iron was too low. No wonder I'm so tired! Explains why I've been fantasizing about eating hamburgers too.

No workout today or tomorrow, just did some stretching and muscle rolling when I got home, and will shortly be enjoying a porterhouse steak with wilted watercress.

Update: I've actually been going to bed/getting up early and working out in the mornings! And drinking nothing but water (and sometimes tea).

Squat day today.

Tried for 405, 4 plates.

Didn't get it. Bit off a little more than I can chew, I guess.

But I was close. I think I'll go after 395 next week. Then, if I get it, 400. And then 405.

I think that's a good plan. Go in 5 lb increments. You'll be there by the end of the month.
