JAMES 5 [7] BE PATIENT therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, UNTIL HE RECEIVE THE EARLY AND LATTER RAIN.[8] Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for THE COMING OF THE LORD draweth nigh.[9] Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

This new covenant scripture speaks of the early and latter rain? Who recieves these rains?

DEUT.11 [13] And it shall come to pass, IF YE SHALL HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO MY COMMANDMENTS which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,[14] That I WILL GIVE YOU THE RAIN of your land in his due season, THE FIRST RAIN AND THE LATTER RAIN, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

The first rain and the latter rain in DUE SEASON, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments

HOSEA 6 [1] Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.[2] After two days will he revive us: in THE THIRD DAY HE WILL RAISE US UP, AND WE SHALL LIVE IN HIS SIGHT.[3] Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and HE SHALL COME UNTO US AS THE RAIN, AS THE LATTER AND FORMER RAIN UNTO THE EARTH.

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. One day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Yup. After 2000yrs we will live in His sight {in the twinkling of an eye}. We will join Him in His 1000yr period of rest. IF......

JOEL 2 [2] Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for THE DAY OF THE LORD COMETH, for it is nigh at hand;
JOEL 2 [22] Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.[23] Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, THE FORMER RAIN, AND THE LATTER RAIN IN THE FIRST MONTH.

Seems this rain will be falling come the Day of the Lord.

LEVITICUS 26 [2] YE SHALL KEEP MY SABBATHS, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. [3] If ye walk in my statutes, AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, AND DO THEM; [4] THEN I WILL GIVE YOU RAIN IN DUE SEASON, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

If you keep My sabbaths and if you keep My commandments you will recieve rain in due season. The early and latter rain spoken of in James. There are “many” who believe God has changed His mind. “Many” claim we need not follow scripture and keep His sabbath. What do you think?

Hi wall:) I don't have any stance on the coming of the Lord but I do want to give a brief story concerning this rain. You see ever since I was first saved four years ago I developed a very deep hunger and thirst for him to know him to be with him even if not in heaven to have a much deeper much closer much more beautiful love and bond connection and relationship with him and thus I exhaustively even to this day seek him out every day in any way i can to have and know just a little more of him to deepen the love and the bond with him just a little more i have what you could call a very greedy heart for him.

but in the last year or so my thirst and hunger for him has caused me suffering because I feel so underfed I long and deeply crave to have and to know him much more than what he gives me for, one day about a week ago I was going on a walk and a song that speaks of the long awaited rain finally pouring down on the dry and thirsty ground spoke to me because it seemed to describe the condition of my heart and without even thinking I said to him Jesus bring the rain.

I don't know why i felt lead to post this and I hope it somehow helps with your thread but perhaps this short testimony was meant for someone or for your thread specifically

We are about to enter the time of the former and the latter rain, we are going to see mighty signs, wonders, healings and miracles.
And God's people living holy lives, as this mighty revival touches those who will let God do a work in them.

Personally, I don't believe the latter rain will be for us. It is a promise to Israel not the Church.
You quoted James but that is simply an illustration from farming encouraging us to be patient.

 indeed all my brethren
hope all of your wish (each and everyone of you) would come true as for someone as me who also longing to be there beside him my brother unto
our lord and savior the only begotten son of god with
all that is holy
along with all our loved ones where the only wishes we want in our hearts and soul
as they say
how long shall we wait
and some says as we hear those new songs
which cannot be uttered then
its gonna rain
as it is written
:read:
Awit: 40. 3.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

8. I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.

as also unto all of you here there and everywhere
since then until today whatever it takes
your salvation is our salvation
when the time comes . ...

:ty:

godbless us all always

I don't mean to offend.. He doesn't restrict Himself except by our own restrictions.. The relationship you have with Him is the one you choose.. He wants no limits..

I say it for your benefit. I don't say what I don't know to be true.. Somewhere something untrue got in and you agreed with it.. Let that go and He'll flood your life

James was writing to the Church, see James 5: 14--15.
And the former & letter rain in James 5: 7--8, likens the natural rain to the Spiritual revival.

Jesus is coming back for a glorious Church, [People], Eph 5: 27, A people who are Holy and doing outstanding miracles.
When Jesus comes for us, we will be just like Him, 1 Jn 3: 2, If we purify ourselves, V3.

I know the false grace teachers will have a spiritual heart attack about 1 Jn 3: 3, But we have to believe the Bible.

The devil couldn't deal with ONE Jesus, so how can he handle millions of Christians who are just like Jesus,??, he can't, that's one reason why we have to be raptured before the anti Christ can come.

Hi God4me. Maybe we should start a thread on the rapture. I dont see it.

Maybe someone should.
There are seven raptures in the Bible, Three have already happened,
Enoch, Gen 5: 24. Elijah, 2 Kings 2: 11-12. and Jesus, Acts 1: 9.
The next rapture is the Church, Jn 14: 1--3. 1 Cor 15: 51--52. 1 Thess 4: 15-17.
Then the 144,000, Rev 7: 1--9. And the mid trib saints, [Those who get saved during the tribulation period], Rev 7: 9--15.
Then the two witnesses, Rev 11: 3--12.

There is a whole bunch of sabbaths spoken of in the First Testament, or are you just referring to Saturday worshiping?

So, it looks like you are saying that those of us who worship on Sundays are not keeping His sabbath?

EARLY RAIN = when you first becomes a Christian - the milk of the Word.

LATTER RAIN = the meat of the Word so that you may stand firm, on the right Rock, when the world comes against you, which they will if you're a true Christian.
