JAMES 5 [7] BE PATIENT therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, UNTIL HE RECEIVE THE EARLY AND LATTER RAIN.[8] Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for THE COMING OF THE LORD draweth nigh.[9] Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
This new covenant scripture speaks of the early and latter rain? Who recieves these rains?
DEUT.11 [13] And it shall come to pass, IF YE SHALL HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO MY COMMANDMENTS which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,[14] That I WILL GIVE YOU THE RAIN of your land in his due season, THE FIRST RAIN AND THE LATTER RAIN, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
The first rain and the latter rain in DUE SEASON, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments
HOSEA 6 [1] Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.[2] After two days will he revive us: in THE THIRD DAY HE WILL RAISE US UP, AND WE SHALL LIVE IN HIS SIGHT.[3] Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and HE SHALL COME UNTO US AS THE RAIN, AS THE LATTER AND FORMER RAIN UNTO THE EARTH.

JOEL 2 [22] Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.[23] Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, THE FORMER RAIN, AND THE LATTER RAIN IN THE FIRST MONTH.
Seems this rain will be falling come the Day of the Lord.
LEVITICUS 26 [2] YE SHALL KEEP MY SABBATHS, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. [3] If ye walk in my statutes, AND KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, AND DO THEM; [4] THEN I WILL GIVE YOU RAIN IN DUE SEASON, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

I don't have any stance on the coming of the Lord but I do want to give a brief story concerning this rain. You see ever since I was first saved four years ago I developed a very deep hunger and thirst for him to know him to be with him even if not in heaven to have a much deeper much closer much more beautiful love and bond connection and relationship with him and thus I exhaustively even to this day seek him out every day in any way i can to have and know just a little more of him to deepen the love and the bond with him just a little more i have what you could call a very greedy heart for him.
