I have a son with autism. I guess I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced anyone saying if you truly believed or prayed correctly or if you and your husband didn't sin you wouldn't have this now..

How do you even answer that?

Plus..we do what we can for our son but it is hard to go to church..how do others handle that? (My son is 6"3" tall and 220lbs..you can't make him go anywhere he doesn't want to!)

How does everyone else cope?

Thank you!

I don’t have the problem you do. As for people who say it is your fault—they are wrong and incredibly insensitive, I believe.

You answer it with the bible.

John 9

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

1As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. 4As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
