It seems many christians may hav unchristian attitudes when it comes to respecting the rights of others. Some tag lines make it sound like the person is proud of this character quality. Reading these messages about mowing lawns in the early morning make me wonder if the people involved even care that they are breaking the law as well as interrupting the sleep of those who are not such night owls.
" Specific and General Laws
Laws prohibiting the use of lawn mowers during certain times of the day typically fall into two categories: specific lawn mower regulations and general noise ordinances. In Los Angeles, the law prohibits operating a lawn mower in a residential area or within 500 feet of a residence between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Jurisdictions without specific lawn mower ordinances can still prohibit early morning mowing through noise ordinances based on decibels, the unit used to measure sound. The average gas-powered lawn mower emits approximately 106 decibels, which exceeds many jurisdictions’ nighttime decibel limits. Montgomery County, Maryland, limits noise between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. in residential areas to 55 decibels. Check with your local jurisdiction to learn more about mowing restriction hours and noise limits.

Just one example.
Then it's a good thing I live in the country. It doesn't disturb anybody when I mow. Also it takes about 1.5 hours to mow the yard, so I usually start at 7am and take a shower between mowing and work.

And... you're calling me unchristian for this?

"It seems many christians may hav unchristian attitudes when it comes to respecting the rights of others."

Seems to me many christians may like to point fingers.

So, are you saying that I am wasting time taking advantage of my dashing strike/fists of thunder build monk on Daiblo III: RoS now that I've got the 6-piece Inna's set and am dealing out 2.2 million DPS and farming Torment IV rifts? Wait, what was I saying?
Beats me brother. I'd have to play the game to know half of what you just said. I gather you got some good gear, good skills and are kicking serious digital backsides. And with 2.2 million DPS, either that build is so overpowered that the game is no longer fun, or the game makers got carried away with powering up and forgot all about proper scaling to prevent it from becoming unwieldy at higher levels. :p

(Yes I knew you were being facetious. The above reply was in the same vein.)

I have to agree that it pisses me off when people mow the lawn very early/ late, especially on Sundays.
I never falls asleep until 1-2 am no matter when I go to bed, so if some guy wakes me up after three hours because he is mowing his lawn he better hope he is out of range of me :p

I'm pretty sure the charming older gentleman was referring to me when he made his quip about the early mowing. I'm not real good about picking up when people are being passive aggressive, so I may not be right, but it seems that way to me.

I have to laugh at the irony...I came to post a joke that I after visiting the BDF / Chriatian News Forums I feel like I need a few Vaccinations. But it appears some friendly quipping is a happening here also. It happens so rarely here that I found it ironic.

Must be the heat.

I'm a victim of my own success this year with my garden. I didn't plant much, but enough to help me refine some survival and preserving skills. I've had such a bumper crop of herbs so far this season that I think I could actually help stock the local farmer's market with dried chives, basil, thyme, oregano, tarragon, dill. My old dehydrator is sure earning it's keep this year. I've been having a lot of fun doing this, and I hope it's something I can continue to do in the future. It would seem my brown or black thumb is no more.

There is something rather satisfying about being able to charge into a group of nearly a hundred enemies and just obliterate them without any effort or cost to my mana (spirit). It makes good for just farming gold and legendary/set armor and weapons, but for actual gameplay progressing through a story line, it's totally ridiculous.

If you live close I will be happy to help a brother out with his dilemma. Especially the basil and tarragon. And the dill. Feel free to send me any of them you don't want. :D :D :D

I'll trade you for a loaf or three of sourdough bread.

Anyone want to finish my 15-slide presentation as well as taking a test tonight?

I'll bake you cookies.

Or, better yet, pizza. I'll make you pizza. You can't go wrong with pizza.

I'm almost half-way thru and have yet to see any cookies, pizza, or(even though I don't like eating things shaped funny) pizza-shaped cookies.

CATCH IT, DANG IT.

CATCH THE DANG POKEMON.

Okay, I'm done. Carry on.
No. I refuse to be a slave to societal norms. I will NOT catch them all. I will catch all but ONE, and that last one will never be added to my collection.

Fly free, Pidgey. Fly free.
