John 11:21 Martha said to Jesus ,"Lord, if You had been here,my brother would not have died.
22 "But even now I know that whatever You ask of God ,God will give You".
23 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
24 Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.He who believes in Me, though he may die ,he shall live.
26 "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.Do you believe this?"
27 She said to Him, "Yes Lord,I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God,who is come into the world. "
Why follow a god weaker than you?
Laying on hands to heal and cure and bring back from the dead was only for the Disciples. There are not for today. These we done away with when the Disciples died.
No, you listed some verses, and babbled about God needing "man's cooperation." I can read fine. 10th grade reading level. If you knew the Bible, and if you knew God, you would know that He isn't weaker than me.
God has put His will in His word, and He will not go against His word.
Please note, I have given scriptures to back up what I teach, whereas you haven't, all you have done, is shown your Biblical ignorance.
Want evidence of your "ignorance" besides that? The Bible doesn't say Jesus wouldn't heal those who didn't believe, It says, He Couldn't.
See how many times the Bible says things like, "According to thy faith, and They faith has healed thee".
God has put everything on a faith basis.
The first thing we must know, Is, It is God's will to heal, God not only wants to heal people, But Jesus has already paid the price so we can receive healing, Isaiah 53: 3--5. Matt 8: 16--17. 1 Pet 2: 24.
You mentioned, "Expectation", But while you are expecting, you are putting it of to the future, whereas faith says, "I have it".
Mk 11: 24 and 1 Jn 5: 14--15, says, Faith says "WE HAVE IT", before we see the manifestation of it.
Faith is simply believing that our Heavenly father, [God], Has told us the truth, and receiving the blessings.
So once we have found the will of God, [From the Bible], we can confidently either Minister to the sick, or receive healing ourselves.
God can't operate without man's cooperation of believing.
Is there anyone really foolish enough to think that Jesus tried to work some miracles in His hometown, and He flopped in His attempts?
What the Bible says is that no one in His hometown believed in Him so they didn't come to Him. They thought He was just a phony, so they never ASKED for any healing. So, since they didn't want it, He couldn't give it.
How utterly crazy to think He suddenly lost His abilities.
Now this is from my heart and not my mind. I serve a God that can do the impossible, I serve a God who is never changing (that keeps it simple).
I have laid hands on my brother when he was murder and laid on the table in the hospital where my wife worked. I have laid hands on my 2year old niece who drowned in a daycare center pool. Asking the Lord to return their life if it was his will. Sadly the answer was no.
I have prayed over family members with terminal illnesses asking for the Lord to heal, some lives were extended others were not.
This world has gotten so cold that people don't even know hope to except help.....ever notice that?
Ive seen he gifts working today, through myself and other... amazing miracles, so when folks say they are not for today it saddens me to think thy lack such and awesome and profound experiances, the bible clearly says He changes not...
anyway that's not really the topic, to address the OP I think it best we go to the book of Job, remember he didn't know what the Father had allowed the enemy to afflict him so, yet he trusted Him, he didn't know what the outcome would be or its purpose but he trusted Him, the Father sees the beginning to the end of each life and He alone has the wisdom and understanding to make the choice of healing or bringing one back from death...is he limited by our Faith or lack of it? never we are, He doesn't have a plan b he knows when where and how already, its we who need to learn and he knows just how to teach us.... if we knew everything it would really be faith then would it. prov 3:5-6
O yea of little faith has many different meanings perhaps, maybe it's not what you lack but what you don't know yet.
.Be confident in the work he started in you that he is able to finish it. The Lord may let you cry, he may let you be hurt, but he will never let you down or let you be plucked from his hand
He heard Balaam.Pottersclay I take two verses and I get my answer. We know that God does not hear sinners. But to the ones that keeps his Word them He heareth.... The feverent prayer of the righteous availeth much..... Then Jesus said... The ones who loves Me will do greayer things yhan I. I am not English. Thid is the best I can remember the Scripture. From my phone.
