So someone who once believed on Jesus and was baptized, but then many years down the road turns away from the Faith and becomes an atheist, is STILL SAVED by Jesus??? (And I know someone that is exactly in this situation. They're in my family). That situation completely dumps OSAS on its head.

2 Cor 6:14-15
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
KJV
Personal experience does not trump scriptural revelation.

Ask yourself if a person can believe in the head but never receive in the heart?

2 Corinthians 6 deals with separation from the world not loss of salvation. It is an admonition for believers to live apart from the world and separated unto Christ. To live pure and holy eschewing evil and not engaging in unclean activities.

Work out YOUR OWN salvation (as opposed to figuring out others) with fear and trembling.

If he was born again (baptism does not save) maybe someone will help restore him to the faith, ultimately God will deal with him, God always does....... one way or another.
Like Apostle Paul showed in 1 Cor.5 about the Church member who was sleeping with his own mother, during Christ's 1,000 reign his spirit may be saved.

No millennium is mentioned. It is someone's dreamchild. He says in the day of our Lord Jesus. Paul does not believe in a millennium. The day of our Lord Jesus is when He comes again. He believed the man was saved and that he was therefore safe in spite of what he had done. Eternal security!!

Matthew 7:21
[SUP]21 [/SUP]“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

Just because a person says they follow Jesus does not mean they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

DP, if that person truly has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and turns away, that person still has his Salvation. What he will lose is his Rewards in Heaven.

We MUST remember it was God who chose us first! We did not go looking for God, He came looking for us!

Salvation is received by the Grace of God and we cannot lose our Salvation by walking back into the World.

Salvation is not something we can lose at the drop of a hat like the corrupted Catholic Church teaches. God does NOT play mind games like the heathen do. Its those who have not received Salvation that love to say we can lose our Salvation.

2 Peter 3:9
[SUP]9 [/SUP]The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

This is a great video! It's not about proving or disproving OSAS, which is a human created term anyway, but just Bible. She speaks about Jesus being the Word (John 1:14), and the Word being like a doubled-edged Sword which gets you coming and going (Hebrews 4:12). Jesus is the Word!

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

OSAS is a contentious argument.

And sorry about all my words being all kinds of sizes. Not doing that on purpose lol.

1 John 2:19

They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

Where in the world does anyone read in the scripture that our sins will be judged????

Christians will not be judged for any sin on "judgment day" because no sin can enter heaven. Your sins are forgiven. Forever!!!!

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, 'CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE' Galatians 3:10

For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, Romans 8:3

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

1peter 4:17.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

HEB. 9;27.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

James 2:13.
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

REV. 20;12.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is 'the book of life': and the dead were judged
out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Amen! And praise be to God. And I would add the following:

"There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"

I absolutely love that scripture! Thank you for posting it!

The scripture in 1 Peter 4:17 about judgment in the house of God must come first is a beautiful promise of the sealing of God's people off before judgment comes.

1 Peter 4:17-18 (KJV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

[SUP]18 [/SUP] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Peter was the apostle to the Hebrews and Peter being a good Jewish man would have heard this spoken off in the OT...The expression comes from Ezk 9:4-6.

It is a hebraism ( expression ) from Ezekiel 9:4-6 in which they had set aside the jewish elders and marked them before judgment came...these ones were saved from the judgment....

In other words we get protected/marked by the Spirit of God before judgment comes ..but judgment starts at the house of God first by us being "marked"...that's the sign that judgment is coming to the ungodly as 1 Peter 4:17-18 says.

It's awesome!! It's a beautiful picture of us being sealed by the Holy Spirit..

We have a good, good Father! and a mighty salvation in Jesus our Lord!

As far as Rev. 20:12 ..what is the work of God for believers? For unbelievers they are going to be judged outside of Christ by what they do.

John 6:28-29 (KJV)
[SUP]28 [/SUP] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

[SUP]29 [/SUP] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Where will you be judged? At the judgment seat of Christ? Or the Great White Throne of God?

All those judged at the Great White Throne are condemned and are judged according to their works and their names checked against the Lambs Book of Life.

Those judged at the judgment seat of Christ are judged on what they have done since they were saved. Their works are tried by fire to see what will remain. The saint of God does not go through the fire but their works go through the fire. What remains is accounted toward rewards not measured toward salvation.

Ro 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

1PETER 4:6.
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged
according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the Spirit.

On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Context, context, context! You realize we can make the bible say anything we want by stringing out of context scriptures here and there.

Jesus is talking about false prophets as can be seen in Matt 7:15.

Notice that in Matt 7:19-33..Jesus said:

"I never knew you "...these people were not believers...( Jesus never said " I used to know you once."..He said I NEVER knew you at all...).

Everyone when they see Jesus will call Him Lord.....Jesus said that He "knows" His sheep so those in Matt. 7:19-33 are not true Christians.

John 10:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
