A lot of the European countries have a lot of the junk in the food and drinks here in America banned. The food over there is closer to the food that existed in the beginning of Adam and Eve. You don't find any of the processed junk in Genesis. You do here in America, though. That's just one beneficiary from living overseas. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if someone brings up the refugees comment. I still stick by wanting to go to Canada, though.
I dont know... no country is perfect. You have for example genetically modified food banned in EU. So we all have some problems.

I dont think USA are the best country to live in, but are quite a good one, if you have a good luck to live in a good place. I like that you have so many Christians, in EU we have very few of them.

I pity people who allow an election to determine their happiness. There is almost nothing in my life that will change for better or worse following this falls elections. I will have my faith in Christ, my loving wife, my exercise routine and friends who I ride bikes with. I will do home improvement projects and walk the dogs twice a day. I will enjoy my favorite ethnic foods. I will watch football on my new 80" television. I will enjoy all of my favorite music.

I will watch the news and be disappointed in Congress and in local politicians, but I won't dwell on it long. I will follow stories about the administration in power and on Supreme Court rulings, but will understand those people are not Christians and do not have our best interests in mind when making decisions. Again, I won't dwell on it.

I pity people who get drawn too deeply into political turmoil that seems to exist all around us. Share your opinion and then go for a hike or a bike ride or a walk in the park. Read your Bible and attend church meetings regularly. Come here and make intelligent comments stating your opinion. Then put it behind you and go live a fruitful life.
I will still love my husband and he will still love me. We will continue to pray that our house survives longer than we do. (No guarantee.) We will enjoy our garden come next spring and we will enjoy hubby's fantastic meals. We will keep praying hubby's health gets better particularly until next January when we have a choice on who is our healthcare provider. We will keep praying he never has to go back into that completely incompetent VA hospital again. We will pray we can afford the cost of medigap insurance. We will keep sighing over how much the COL goes up while Social Security doesn't ever keep up. We will keep holding onto the seats of our pants forever fearful the roof might cave in, the windows might fall out, the heater dies, that 96 year old drainage pipe that runs the length of our house doesn't give up the ghost, that crack in the wall doesn't grow, someone else doesn't sue us because we couldn't afford to fix something, the government doesn't come up with more hidden taxes that cost us more while giving us less, and the government yet again "helps" us by coming up with some other asinine law that makes Medicare less effective but more costly.

Yup. Life goes on like always. This election really doesn't matter. We're duped either way.

God already knows and has known all eternity what was going to happen. Whatever happens does not contradict His Will. That's getting lost in the shuffle. No matter what we do, it's not going to change whatever His plan is.

I equate it to a married couple whose marriage is crumbling. Then they look at other people's marriages and they say "At least we're not assaulting or cheating on each other". People act like this is the greatest country in the world when at the same time we are turning on each other. Our own kind. Our own law enforcement. A great country wouldn't do that. You don't need to be in a situation like the middle east to be considered bad. Just like you don't need to be assaulting your spouse to be in a bad marriage. Those that live here are still blessed because compared to other parts of the world, yes it is better. But let's not act like this is the Holy place of the Earth. This isn't God's country, even though folks try to think it is. Gay marriage kinda says it's not God's country, and that's just one example.

That's not how it works ..God gave us the ability to represent His Will and change the world we live in .. That's why he tells us to stand against evil and to reprove the evil works of darkness ..the fact that God is outside the temporal realm and abides in the eternal realm, does not mean we are not responsible for our actions in this temporal realm or that God does not require us to defend what He has giving to us.

But God already knew what we were going to do. Whatever happens come November will not surprise Him.

I don't think you understand the difference between Gods eternal wisdom and mans place and effect in the temporal realm. Its a big bible lesson but lets just say God expects us to do our part.

He does. Yes. But that doesn't change the fact nothing surprises Him. Doesn't change the fact He knows the outcome before we even know the task to produce the outcome. He's not going to say, "Well, golly. I didn't see that coming". If Hillary wins, it doesn't surprise Him. If Trump wins, it doesn't shock Him. When people say God knows everything, it includes the outcome of the presidential campaign.

And not knowing only, but also doing His will in it.

No matter who (or what) is elected, it is His Will and part of His Plan.

Several passages in Daniel refer to the fact that God gives kingdoms and power to whoever He Wills.

For one:

Daniel 2:21(KJV) And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

And when Jesus was talking to Pilate:

John 19:11 (KJV) Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

God created this earth and everything in it...it will go down as He Wills.

Those kingdoms of Daniel was established until Christ ..even if you believe that concept applies to our modern governmental systems you would have to believe God established Hitler and Stalin with godless communism and was responsible for millions upon millions of murders and despots around the world ..its silly and just unbiblical ... As far as Christ and his words in that passage, it has NOTHING to do with the issue being discussed.

Right! Even Rome was THE world power, THE place to go, THE head honcho, while they slaughtered Christians.

(insert Merkel jokes here) ;)
personally I think its a joke to say we ever had a choice, seriously, just look at history, do you honestly believe that the people who really run this world are goin got allow the people to "elect" anyone they already haven't confirmed will do their bidding? lets be real here, the "choices" were given are not a choices at all, but rather puppets who do exactly what they are told and nothing more or less, people need to wake up and face reality....
