Well that's just fine! Be that way!

I was going to pick up a two-four and some pea-meal bacon and have a marathon of Corner Gas episodes for a first date, but NOOOOOOOO. Whatevs.

*grumble, mumble, grumble*
You could start a disgruntled American dating thread.

OK, if the American people would like to add there dating profile, who am I to stand in the way of someone finding potential true love? Have at it Americans.

I like how there's only been one Canadian respondent so far. Funny.

Therein lies the issue... the dating game in Canada is a case of standing in an otherwise empty arena introducing myself to all the single gals there. I can hear the echo when I whisper.

I suppose I'm going to appear really desperate... which I'm not. Just having fun for the sake of it.

This is all for fun. I have to say when I come here I wonder how you all are single. You're all nice and funny and good people.

In real life I have a crummy attitude and personality. I'm also ugly enough to make a freight train take a dirt road. Online, I can be someone different.

My niece is attending Mcgill University.
Does that help my case?

I should be the one grumbling. I had to google every single reference in that.

I will provide a translation for people unfamiliar with Canadian pop culture:
"I was going to pick up a case of beer and some bacon-rolled-in-corn-meal-and-fried and have a marathon of episodes of a popular Canadian sitcomfor a first date, but NOOOOOOOO. Whatevs."

I appreciate you doing the legwork on that. I grew up an hour away from Canada, went there all the time, and I still didn't have a clue what Yahweh was going on about.

How did you find all of that out? Is there a Canadian Google site? Did you have to translate your questions from English into Canadian first, or did it do it automatically?

One Canadian is an onslaught. All the rest are quietly waiting their turns in line so as not to appear rude and pushy.
And that is precisely why I would prefer to date a Canadian... and why no Canadian lady will date me because I'm an American. :p

Okay...

Transplanted Michigander who grew up a short distance from America's Hat would like to hear from all those lovely Canadian ladies who own their own floatplane. I took a fly-in fishing trip in Canada once, and it was one of the highlights of my life. I like pancakes with maple syrup, toilets that flush properly, and curling (I love hearing the shouting at the sweepers with the brooms). I'm practically a native since I have snow tires for my car. Fly me to the moon! (Or at least Nakina, Ontario. It was beautiful there.)
