Praying for you TC... Father God I lift up my sister TC to you in prayer, father I pray the surgery has been a complete success and that all forms of cancer have been eliminated from her body and I pray for all pain to ease. Father let your hand be upon this young lady and let her know you have complete control over her situation and that nothing can happen that isn't part of your greater plan. With your healing hands father draw away all sickness and pain from our sister and give her complete healing in Jesus name, amen.
I was not aware that you so recently had surgery

I hope you recover quickly from it :D
Aw thank you so much

Hey guys :) I hope all is well with everyone! I'm doing well, for anyone who's wondering (I know I've only been here sparsely for a while). I've been working on new projects. But currently I am lying on my bed with my left foot wrapped up and raised, so I'm forced to take a break. It's all good though; I think the only way I was going to take a break was by force anyway. And I was able to get some work done on my thesis for school this morning, so it's for the better. :) Happy Monday!

Hi MPW! *waves*

I have a niece who was in the enviable position of not having to defend her thesis
That's a lucky niece! :p

I will most certainly have to defend mine. But the good news (other than the Gospel) is that I like giving presentations and I'm good at it, so I'm actually looking forward to getting there. It's the work in between that's hard!

Thesis? In what subject? What degree are you working on?

It is interesting that when she was looking into her higher education options, she did not realize at first that quite a few young women were riding on her coat tails so to speak, in their seeking after scholarships, for they had volunteered to work with her on various charitable projects she started during high school, and were using that (at least in part) as the basis for their applications. When her parents (my twin brother and his wife) learned of it, they realized she could apply for scholarships on the basis of her being the founder of such projects. She had at least four major universities courting her, and her Masters and PhD have been completely paid for through scholarships. She is at the forefront of research into autism. :) That is why she did not have to defend her theses... she was breaking completely new ground!

Autism is actually what my thesis is on (very broadly speaking). More specifically, in adolescents in integrated classroom settings (i.e. where students with Autism are in the same classrooms as students without Autism). I may have heard her name before or seen it in my research!

My niece is studying psych, also :) The research lab she was working at last summer got millions in grants awarded to them due to her work. Good luck to you in your work with such children! I watched a show once about a woman who was fighting for the well being of her autistic son, and did so much research on her own, having such a hard time getting any real help from the so-called professionals at the time. I think it was her who was was completely convinced that autism is tied to digestive enzymes, and/or the lack thereof.

I may have heard something similar to that. I think it was a daughter and the person tied it to nutrition. Along the same lines though :) Congrats to your niece for being a trailblazer!
