Something that God has bothered me for years. Is this image of a coming war on christians. An actual war. It have been reminded of it since before knowing who God is and having a personal relationship with him. Some of you reading this will say yeah right! The dreams over time and thoughts. Can someone explain that? Dreams of people burning and imprisoned. I just kind of shake it off and ignore it. Seeing a portion of 9/11 before it happend. The still feeling before some catastrophe around the globe happens. The uneasy feeling. Before one of you tell me I need to see a therapist or a counselor. Or a comment comes oh your just seeing things and its just a dream. How do you explain me, my sister and my brother. Dreaming about the New Orleans Hurricane floods years before it happend? We all sat and talked about it. I claim no special gift. Nor do i want it. Or boast about being something special before someone calls me out on it.

Is it a sin to arm yourself against this rise in global violence against Christians?

Would it be wrong to actually engage in protecting those with any means nessecarry.

Is it a sin to actually prepare for war?

Good questions. I have no answer. If it's a sin, then I am guilty of it. I am armed to the teeth and have thousands upon thousands of rounds of ammunition for each weapon. I have been arming up for a couple years now, but for different reasons than yours, but I have a suspicion that something ominous is on the horizon and I will have to dust off some 20-year old military skills and become the person I told myself I'd never be again.

I don't think it's a sin. All around us Christians are being persecuted. Not so much physical violence in America, but you see it. The businesses who don't fall in line with gay marriage, they tear those people apart. My cousin's daughter wore a cross to her school one day, they made her take it off. He pulled her out of the school. If they told a Muslim child to take off her head scarf there would be an uproar.

There's a war on Christians for sure and as the years go by it will get worse.

I use to think I needed to be armed and ready for war. But over the years God has been telling me to arm myself spiritually not physically.

There has always been war on Christians: the US government and many states arrested Christians such as Quakers, Shakers, Christadelphians, Anabaptists, and pacifist Christians (such as Catholic Workers) from the Civil war up the Vietnam war. Thousands were arrested, many churches bankrupted, and many were injured from government brutality.

Where were the rest of the Christian churches to defend them?

Hiding in their prayer closets giggling with glee that those "other people" were taken out of the way. Same way I imagine folks here will cheer up and down when ISIS rolls through Rome and beheads Pope Francis in public.

Doubtful since ISIS has their hands full with all those Shiia in Iraq and Iran.

But yes, it is a shame that so many professing Christians stood by and allowed true Christians to be persecuted by the government.

It's all too easy to act one way in front of certain people, but act entirely different behind closed doors.

With all the little divisions between self-proclaimed Christians, I have a hard time imagining anyone standing up for anyone else - unless they are thoroughly vetted on doctrinal issues first and read the "right" translation of the Bible, and whatnot. Don't want to help the "wrong" kinds of Christians. That would be bad.

I am not going to attack you or try to undermine you about your dreams.. I have had my own dreams of the future.. Dreams that i have seen come true.. Don't seek the affirmation of other human beings about dreams.. God knows of the truth of your situation and His justification and affirmation is the only one you need.. Ok with that said lets go onto your questions..

Yes it is a sin to engage in carnal combat.. If you read the Message of our Messiah Jesus Christ, particular the teachings He gave us when He spoke upon the mount in Matthew chapter 5 - 7 you will be left in no doubt that we should Love even our enemies and be willing to die rather then take another persons life.. We do not fight against flesh and blood but evil spiritual enemies of God in High places. We fight with the Words of God not with guns..

Rely on God to defend you.. And know if God wills for you to die, to depart this life then so be it.. His will be done.. To be absent from this world is to be with the LORD, It is a far better place to be anyway. Why fight and kill others to per-long your life in this faulty sin filled world of suffering anyway??

we as christian always should lean toward on Jesus he has won this war for us already. let the world know the weapons of our war against these devilish people. because these terrorists are the the evil crew dispatched from the hell there is also a spiritual reason behind their physical terrorism against christian let's seize the head or the dynamics instead of waging war against these dead people.

You have a fanciful imagination and in this case, that's not a good thing.

You have an eloquent way of being insulting. It's a gift. You should be proud. Give yourself a pat on the back for me.

Jehovah's Witnesses were targeted by the government during Vietnam. None of the right wing Christian professing churches stood up for them.
