Perhaps there is an element of truth in this for those males so determinedly inclined when it comes to observing females in public washrooms. But surely, giving them a key to do so isn't the means to reduce it's probability. Gun control and a womans right to privacy in a public washroom are two entirely different matters. Don't get caught in the liberal thinking trap of using one to justify the other. You and women everywhere deserve much better than what this type of rationalizing offers.
They are two entirely different issues with the same principle. Making a law against something won't stop people from doing it. It's a fact. I just plugged this principle in with guns to show that it works.

After the 'gender choice bathroom' issue was in the news, I walked into a Walmart bathroom and announced loudly: "If there are any MEN in here, you need to get out of here NOW." Women came out of the stalls sheepishly wondering who would be so brash. And I will do it again if I am unsure if some man may be in a stall.
I was tempted (but did not give in to the temptation) to create a sign and tape it on the women's bathroom and say "If you have a P _ _ IS, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG BATHROOM." Simple biology, folks.
I think we're going to see some different reactions to all of this... Christians are going to need to get more backbone than they've had, as a whole.

It sounds like you were on the verge of detaining and checking every person in the women's room to see if they had a "P_ _ I S". I'm sure if anyone did have one they would have certainly been psychologically straighten out by your announcement.

Making a law against something allows for proper punishment when that law is circumvented by some pervert looking to film women in a public restroom. That's a fact too ... and one that you seem willing to ignore. It's also the only deterrent a civilized society has at it's disposal. Plug your "principle" into every legislated law designed to protect the innocent from criminals and perverts. It'd "work" just the same. So my young friend ... why have any laws at all ?

Who said I'm willing to ignore people filming other people in the restroom? Is it because I point out that a law wont' stop criminals from breaking the law?

One of the most basic rules in legislation is, you don't make a law that is impossible to enforce. Are you going to go around and check everyone's genitals to ensure they are going to the correct restroom?

Let me ask you a question (not rhetorical): Do you really think that the only reason there aren't more men doing this in women's restrooms is because there is a law forbidding it?

cmon Kim, you're argument is a little silly sister.

EVERY law is broken and ignored by some and hard to enforce. That cannot be the criteria whether to make a law or not. You make a law, if someone is CAUGHT breaking that law you arrest them. Many people get away with breaking all kinds of laws.

If a man cannot be distinguished as a man, goes into a woman's restroom, does his business and leaves, he's the same as the drunken driver who manages to get home without harming someone. Both should be against the law, but some may get away with both.

It's silly to say that if we can't catch EVERY lawbreaker then we shouldn't make any laws.

I agree with the bold. However, I'm making a point that just because it's legal for genetic males to go into a women's restroom doesn't mean that women are at an alarming level of risk. If a criminal wanted to violate a female, I can guarantee you he doesn't care about the law that says we can't rape someone...

There aren't many laws that we have that aren't enforce or can't enforce. We don't enforce immigration laws, but not because we can't (some people in power just choose not to). We have laws for traffic... guess what, we have police officers who patrol the roads. We have the ATF for the alcohol, tobacco, and firearms, child services for child laws, etc...

How do we enforce this law unless we check everyone's genitals? I still haven't heard a good answer for this question...

Murder is impossible to enforce, not impossible however, to bring the perpetrator to justice and to make sure it is not repeated. So, the problem is obviously not enforcement in this case , it is changing the moral laws that are in place and thus endangering the innocent law abiding citizenry.

Isaiah 5:
20Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Why would you have to check genitals? A male is not required to dress like a woman to enter a womans bathroom, lockerroom or shower.

We should have age-restricted restrooms...

1 restroom for 0-7 year old boys
1 restroom for 8-12 year old boys
1 restroom for 13-17 year old boys
1 restroom for 18+ year old men
1 restroom for 0-7 year old girls
1 restroom for 8-12 year old girls
1 restroom for 13-17 year old girls
1 restroom for 18+ year old women

Every public place should install 8 restrooms to accommodation this. The theory is, because women are at incredible risk of being violated by men going into their restrooms, we don't want perverted homosexual men to go in restrooms where young boys might be and record them too!

It would be so much safer if we had 8 restrooms so we knew for sure that young men and older men won't be preying on innocent little boys. We need to protect little boys from the perverted men... not just women!

Because the law was implemented to accommodate transgendered people from going to the restroom they identify as. Other states have made laws making it illegal. For those states, wouldn't someone need to make sure people aren't breaking the law?

That's like having speed limits and handicapped parking spots without ever enforcing those laws. Let's just use the honor system...

Are parents aloud to go in the 0-7 restroom as well?

NO! A person could pretend to be a parent just to molest/film little girls/boys!!!! Too dangerous!
What if the child cannot go to the restroom by themselves just yet?

More silliness? I have 2 boys and I never would have let them at a young age go into a public restroom without me going in with them.

So if YOUR daughter was showering in a womans locrroom, YOU wouldn't have a problem with a naked male going in and showering with her? Cause ya know, it's not just about restrooms. It's also about lockerrooms and changing rooms as well. Please be honest.

At the end of the day, allowing gender neutral restrooms isn't going to encourage someone to break the law and violate women. If someone is going to violate a woman, he will do it in one way or another... law be damned.

Why is it silliness? You aren't answering my question about enforcing it or why not protect young boys from older men... Certainly you're aware of men that prey upon young men?

I wouldn't allow my daughter to shower openly with other females or males. I would require that the locker room have individual stalls to shower and cover one's self up. This seems to be the norm with modern schools and I think it's a good thing.

I guess they will have to go in their pants... It's too risky to let young children go in there... don't you know men are pretending to be women so they can violate them?!
