jcha, I thought Trumpets was October this year, could be wrong. When was the barely abib this year?

Matthew 24:35-37
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I separated the context of two events in separate colors.

Genesis 7:4
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

It really makes sense that only the Father could know the day and hour that the earth shall pass because if the sun passes first then everyone else would lose all sense of time.

I'd say Christ is coming back when God's darn, good and ready for him bring his children home....it's that simple lol

I found that under versus about the End of days There needs to be things fulfilled before the second coming of Christ. I am thinking that things must happen and fall into place before he returns. Unless i am wrong if I am please advise me.

Indeed ! If Jesus LIVES in a Believer why are they waiting for His return ?

Christian confusion knows no bounds !

When will Jesus return?

What if it's this:

When all whom the Father foreknew and predestined to be the inheritance of the Son have come to repentance.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
(2 Peter 3:9)

What if "
you" here is believers?
& what if "
everyone" here is not all mankind, but all those saints He has chosen?

What if it's that?
Because we know that not all mankind will repent.

((If you believe it is by human will & choice, then the full number of those who will be redeemed is unknowable, even by God, who is in heaven wondering what each man will do. In that paradigm, time is completely open-ended. Until God's patience wears out, and He's tired of waiting to see what people will decide. But what about babies at that time? What about people who might make a choice tomorrow? What if Christ comes back too early, and someone misses out on '
making the right choice' by only an hour?
But if you believe in predestination in the full sense of His sovereignty, then this makes sense completely. He knows, and He alone knows, when the last of His chosen ones has come to repentance, because He has chosen them all, and He has given it to them all to come to Him -- and at that time, when all have turned to Him that He has given to turn, nothing is left to prevent judgement))

And what if YOU means you personally ?

Everyone of us must repent and 'turn to the Lord ! meaning the one and only TRUE GOD of Israel..
There are many who have not even the True JESUS who is supposed to bring them to God.

If we are following Jesus, he already is in our hearts, so it does not matter if he
returns today, tomorrow or in a 1,000 years. The hard part is walking in love and
grace towards each other and those who do not know Him.

Part of the parables imply it take discipline to wait, to be patient, to be responsible,
we will not get a deep conviction and some will loose heart and start to behave like
nothing matters. Now some want to say everything is mystical and the practical hard
things of like will not get in the way, when Jesus is saying what matters is who we
are and staying true to that.

So let us praise the Lord whether He comes tomorrow or we see Him after we die,
for great is the salvation of the King.

Um, we wait for His return because, when He comes, both the dead and the living will be changed into those immortal and glorified bodies, which Paul referred to as our blessed hope. Also, we are told in scripture we are told that the true believer is anticipating His return.

Indeed ! If Jesus LIVES in a Believer why are they waiting for His return ?

The Lord's promise to believers:

"
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am."

The fulfillment of that promise:
"
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good."

Oh, but it does matter Peter! In between where we are now and when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age, the wrath of God must take place upon this earth. We are living in the last days and we have a promise from the Lord that we are not appointed to suffer God's coming wrath and that because Jesus took upon himself the wrath that we deserve. No believer should want to be here here during the time of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments nor be exposed to the beasts reign. As Peter said:

"Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming."

Christians have been preparing for it for 2000 years, and each generation has thought it the last. The only thing I know for sure is that one of these times we're gonna be right.

Morning FreeNChrist,

And rightly so, as Christ's return has been imminent from the time he ascended and anticipating and watching for his appearing is the right attitude. The difference between all of those in the previous generations, is that we are seeing the stage being set for the mark of the beast. People in Sweden have already been implanted with RFID chips and that will continue to evolve until the beast is revealed. With the system of electronic crediting and debiting (buying and selling) the inhabitants of the earth are being conditioned for this coming mark, by the use of this electronic system by the swiping of their cards and now the use of bank apps. on their cell phones. That mark is eventually going to replace cash, checks, cards, bank phone apps and whatever else is being used.

No generation in history has experienced what this current generation is. The continued move towards a one-world community is what is prophesied and that antichrist is about to be revealed. Currently the Holy Spirit through the church is restraining the full force of lawlessness and the revealing of that antichrist. Soon the restrainer will be removed and the church with him. Following that will be that last seven years with God's wrath being poured out on a Christ rejecting world. Considering the level of technology that we are at now, I am anxious to see what the next ten years is going to produce, because the technology of electronic crediting and debiting is what the mark of the beast is going to run on. That system is already in place and all that has to change, is the device that performs that electronic function and the revealing of that last day ruler, the antichrist.

If we can see these things and more taking place, then how close are we?

Honestly, why do I worry about the day of Jesus Christ's return?
Many of you have very strong faith and have endured, and I have faith,
but I fear that I fall into the category of virgins without enough oil.
I fear Jesus' return because I do not feel ready spiritually or in my mind.

I want God to choose me, but I don't believe I am of the few chosen.

Lost and afraid, crying like an abandoned child. But I'm at work now,
so I must dry my tears, put on a mask of security, and go through the
motions of another day because I really can't afford to lose my job.

Good morning SCHISM,

All believers are at different levels in their faith. Remember, no man can come to the Son except the Father draws him. If you are feeling the way you say, then it is because God is with you, otherwise you wouldn't care about your condition with him. We have all had the same feelings as you at one time or another. You can trust in the promises of God and you can know that you are forgiven and have eternal life if you have said yes to Christ and that because God cannot lie.

Not feeling worthy or called by God, is a tactic of our enemy. I caught on to that deception early. When we sin, the powers of darkness whisper in our spiritual ears and tell us that we are unworthy to go before God. But God's word is saying to you and all believers:

"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

And you sound like you are at a place of need. Therefore, do what the scripture above says and tell it to God directly in the name of Christ. And know that He hears you because you're coming before him in the name of His Son whom you believe in. Whenever the enemy makes me feel unworthy or when I sin, I go immediately to God. No matter how many times I fail, I go immediately to God and clear it up right away. And you know that he will because his word says:

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us."

Believe it and claim it! I'm sure that everyone here will keep you in prayer.

Eight or ten generations from now, those people will say, no generation in the world will have seen more than they feel they are experiencing.

In truth, it was that very first Jewish/church generation that saw the most. Almost every last priest they had was wiped off the face of the Earth, murdered, the most sacred thing they knew, their temple, was burned right to the ground and the remaining stones plowed into the earth... GONE! and their entire religious system was dismantled. And that really WAS the end of that age.

Barley abib? I once read on this with the Karaite Jews. Check out this explanation: http://www.therefinersfire.org/aviv_search.htm

You are feeling the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in you. As you grow closer to God your faith will grow also. The parable of the mustard seed is great for understanding this. Our faith begins small but through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit our faith grows larger and larger. I would say, as Ahwatukee mentioned, that your questioning of this is a good sign of the work being done within you. Praying for you.

Exactly,

The end of the temple age, Matt 24.

My friend you consider yourself inadequate and not good enough for Jesus's return but since when was it was ever our own strength or our own efforts that made us worthy in his eyes? Believe me I know how far we can stray and I know how low we can fall from experience and even I sometimes doubt my own worthiness in him but he always whispers to my heart that I am deeply loved and cared for and that I am more than good enough for him and even today I am shocked about that but I believe him.

There will always be times of hardship and always times in which our eyes stray from him and we fall into a season of sin and worldly thinking but a wise man once said my eyes may wander but my heart comes home.

Now THIS I get! Thank you.

Got a question for you. Can you deny Jesus Christ? Can you walk away from him and go about the rest of your life without him? And this isn't to be confused with having a temper tantrum, slamming your butt to the ground, and telling God you can't take it anymore. This is all about can you walk away permanently?

If the answer is Yes, then worry and get right with God.

If the answer is No, then realize the truth of the situation. We never chose God! He chose us! We do not deserve him choosing us, but he chose us, he loves us, he has long suffering with us, and he never EVER unchooses us or throws us away. Never ever gonna happen.

You may have been an abandoned child but the King of Kings, the King of the universe, the one named Love, adopted you, so you are now, and will forever be his son. His child. His beloved. You are his. HE ADOPTED YOU and he's never going to do a do-over. You are a son, a prince, and a part of the eternal family. (The only bad news is we're your siblings. lol)

Only thing you got to do is preserve, and frankly he gave us the training wheels and the fatherly hand behind the bike seat to make sure we do. He even furnished that oil for that lamp.

I have been a believer for 44 years. I don't have great faith, wonderful temperament, and an unending supply of go-get-'em. I have one thing going for me -- no choice but him! He did that to me. I certainly didn't. I tried walking more than once, but that I-can't got in the way, in a good way. And he gave me even that. We're not spiritually ready. That's called glorification. That happens when we start our eternity-with-him and through him too.

As long as you realize you can't walk so have to follow (or have a royal temper tantrum, but he's going to get you out of that too -- experience talking there), stop worrying. He is, and has always been in control, and yet chose us anyway.
