this phrase, "Let no one deceive you" is repeatedly found in the new testament, always tied to the same thing, i ask that you consider what is taught about deception to the church itself. that you would study for yourself these things....

ephesians 5:5-7 "for of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them."

galatians 6:7-8 "DO NOT BE DECEIVED: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."

1 corinthians 6:9- 10 "or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

1 john 3:7-8 "Dear children, DO NOT LET ANYONE DECEIVE YOU. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work."

2 john 1 :6-9 "and this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.I SAY THIS BECAUSE MANY DECEIVERS, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son."

one source of deception that is evident is pauls writings, which are easily distorted to be unconditional worldly " grace" ( that is so prevelant today) rather than the Grace that comes through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

2 peter 3:14-18 "So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."

several times the warning against this is clear. the deception that is repeatedly brought to light, that Grace nullifies the actions of the believer, the teaching that Grace nullifies Judgement, coming wrath, that Grace will force a person to Christ. it is a deception to omit the clear warnings and sound teachings found throughout the new testament in order to try to " focus on unconditional grace" it is a simple repeat of the serpent, omitting Gods warning in eden.

Had man taken Gods word for things He would have lived, instead, man chose to believe " surely you will not die" and because of this mankind lost eternal Life by falling from Grace, and how did He fall? He was deceived into omitting Gods clear warning of deadly poison, and accepting the enticement of the enemy. Christ came to put us back in relationship with God, and once again Has given mankind the choice to believe God and Live, or omit and avoid His word of Life, and lose eternal Life. if we believe........simply dont eat the poison and we will live. The way to have strength to not eat the poison is to believe Jesus and His words of warning......just like adam and eve needed to believe Gods word of warning.

simplicity in truth. Just believe what Jesus says of everything, rather than what deceivers tell you Jesus "really meant."

Remember that deception is a real thing, a deadly thing. Know the truth for youself and stay safe in Christ. all Glory, honor, peace, praise and every majesty belong to God, and to His Son Jesus Christ.

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Right,God is warning the saints after they are saved,do not think that you can live in sin,and be saved, and have a relationship with God,for whatever a man sows that shall he reap, and if they live in sin,not wanting to give it up,they cannot dwell with God,whether they claim Christ or not.God is saying give up the sin, being led of the Spirit, and that is what you will sow eternal life.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nice! But you forgot the warning to the church from Christ himself...(again) TO HIS CHURCHES (i.e. "POST-CROSS"):

1. To the prophetic Ephesus: "You left your first love. Remember from where you have fallen and repent and do the first works or else I'll come and take your candlestick away."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

2. To the prophetic Smyrna: "I know how you suffer. Remain faithful until the end and I will give the a crown of life."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

3. To the prophetic Pergamos: "You have false doctrine (of balaam) making people stumble and commit fornication. You also have the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which I HATE (worth researching to see what Nicolaitanism is). Repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against you (i.e. make you my enemy)."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

[Strong language from The Lord of Lords and King of Kings TO HIS CHURCH.]

4. To the prophetic Thyatira: "You allow that woman who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication. I gave her time to repent but she didn't. So I'll toss her (and those with her) into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. And I'll kill her children with death, and EVERY CHURCH will know that I am he who searches hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.

To those who haven't followed her but keep my works, I'll give you power over the nations."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

[Look at that! Strong language from Christ yet again. lol not even The Lord tolerates this "finished work" (there's no work for you to do) business, but is gonna handle each one of us based on our works.]

5. To the prophetic Sardis: "Remember what you've heard and repent. If you're not paying attention I'm going to come to you like a thief and you won't know what hour I'll show up (because as Paul teaches, Christ ISN'T supposed to come to his people like I thief [1 Thessalonians 5:1-5]). But there are a few of you who haven't dirtied their garments and THEY will walk with me in white because THEY are worthy.

If you persevere, I won't blot out your name out of the book of life."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

[Here's one of Christ's churches where he's saying some of them won't walk with him with white robes. If all sins are covered how is anyone in this church restricted from walking with Christ or even warned that their name will be removed from his book?]

6. To the prophetic Philadelphia: "You're weak but you have kept my WORD (what has Christ said??) and haven't denied my name. I will make those who call themselves [the chosen people] to bow down at your feet. Because you have persevered I will keep you from the temptation that will come upon EVERYONE ELSE in the world (including the other churches by implication). I'm coming soon so hold tight and make sure no one take your crown from you."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

[What has our Lord has directly said? Well, everything he's said is found in Revelations, John, Luke, Mark and Matthew. What make him our LORD is that we do what he SAYS, not just believe in what he did. BOTH.]

7. To the prophetic Laodiceans: "You guys straddle the fence. I'd rather you'd either be for me or against me. I'm going to spit you out of my mouth (i.e. rejection). You say you're rich and increase your possessions, but you're really poor. Buy gold from me, and white clothes, and wash your eyes so you can see. I reprimand those I love. So repent. I'm knocking at your door so let me in."

"...Those who can hear, hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches."

This is Christ's endtime message to the churches. HIS churches (not to anyone else). So he's warned 5 of 7 (71% of) his churches to REPENT. Repent means to turn away from sins. The message is clear: what we receive from Christ can be removed if we don't stop sinning and instead start doing our work.

Oops. I totally forgot to post scripture references for those who are reading these warning for the first time. My apologies.

The above warnings from Christ can be found in Chapters 2 & 3 of the book of Revelations.

1 Timothy 1:3-17

As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.

Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever Amen.

Revalation 1:1

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

....

Revelation 12:17

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

....

Revelation 14:12

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

....

Revelation 22:12-16

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each person according to what he has done.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes [REPENT], so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.

But outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.

From God, out the Lord's very mouth, to John, to his Church in the very last statement of the very last book of scripture.

Of course, there is so much here !!
So many things, so relevant to us now!
But here's one thing, that's been my happy duty in Him to report; i should proclaim the surety:

But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

You couldn't be more wrong. It is a call to stop doing your own work. It is Christ's call to all Christians in all churches in every age to repentance from the sin of religiosity, the substitution of our actions for God's action.

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation." (Hebrews 3:12-15)

You're double-speaking, Free.

If, (as your image says) "It is finished" then that means you're saying there's entirely no work at all for WE to do (regardless of whose work it is; God's or ours). But the passages I've share, from Christ's own mouth, says there's work to do until the end; that in the end he will judge everyone based on what everyone *does*. So are you now saying that we're to do God's work (or God's actions as you phrase it)?

Those like me are willing to do the work God *told* us to do because he's recorded telling his saints to do it (i.e. God's work/actions). But others's say, "to even attempt to do *any* work is 'undoing' the work that's already finished". So which is it?

By the way, I completely agree with you that we're not to substitute religious actions for DOING God's work. Christ himself, told the pharisees several times not to replace the Commandments of God with their traditions & doctrines that are passed down (mark 7:13; Matthew 15:3).

"..And the work of God is this. To believe in whom God has sent."
(John 6:29)

So if this is the case...

"Why do you call me Lord Lord, and do not do what I SAY??" (Luke 6:46)

And he said...

"If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
(Matthew 19:17)

Same as the very last message in the very last book of scripture.

We (everyone who wants to on CC) should do a study about the revelation churches some time.

I believe the 1st works referenced is concerning forgiveness and grace. They fell in the legalistic side of error while the ones they opposed were practicing a lictenous doctrine.

The other 7 churches show a model of every church we have now and a message for current churches of people were honest.

However the message isn't that people need to work for their salvation.

All you've shown is that you do not understand the scripture you quote.
Matthew 23:1

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Sitting in Moses seat is teaching from Moses. The law of God is not "done away with". Period. The penalty for breaking it is, when you receive Christ and walk in obedience to the faith.

OK :) I won't explain. I'll just quote and add brackets and ask you to explain the passage ok?

Revalation 1:1

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

1. Is Revelation a message from Christ to us? Is this the final message he gave or is there another? Was this message given after he died on the cross and resurrected from the dead?

....

Revelation 12:17

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

2. What's this mean?

....

Revelation 14:12

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

3. What's this mean?

....

Revelation 22:12-16

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each person according to what he has done.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates.

But outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.

4. Is this a message to the churches from Christ?

5. Also, why is he telling them to wash their robes so they can enter into the city? Why is it contrasted with those who'll be on the outside?

6. sexual immorality, murder, idolatry, falsehood...are these sins? Weren't these commanded against at Mt. Sinai?

7. What does "washing robes" mean in this context?

Please share your understanding for my edification.
