It was not lawful to be unequally yoked with unbelievers or what was called infidels. And those gentiles were not yet converted to the customs of the law after having received the Holy Spirit of promise through faith. Certain of the Jahudeans reacted upon that people who were unconverted to the customs were allowed in fellowship. The ruling was put out by the apostles that there was no difference between them and the gentiles who had received the same Holy Spirit of promise as them and that through the grace of God their hearts would be purified through the faith that is of Christ. In old times they had Moses preached everywhere but not the gentiles. There were laid up 4 commandments for the gentiles keep so they could come and learn Moses and Christ being preached every sabbath in the synagogues.

Acts 15:6

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

well it is obvious you do not have any desire to listen.

Peter said, WE HAVE NOT COMMANDED IT.. He said, all we ask is that gentiles (believers) do these things.. And in no place is any gentile believer told or commanded to start every following customs of Jewish law.

if you want to be circumcised, or circumcise your kids, feel free. I am, and made sure my grandids were (for medical reasons not spiritual)

But you want to push it, Like the jews paul and peter had to fight, Then we will not agree, and you are making people follow a yoke even Israel could not carry.. Which is wrong.

Good posts, but I have to clear one thing up. My statement about 'you're making this too easy', was more a ref to the comedy. You're making it too easy for humor , which I know this isn't a laughing matter, (slice, ouch), but I couldn't help laughing (laughter does good like a medicine) when someone said ,'Circumcision is a private matter' ! Lol, ummm, PRIVATE? Get it? Okay, nevermind, sorry, I need to go grow up now! :( (but it's still funny) ;)

I agree, the circumcision Paul spoke of. the one made without hands, Done By God himself (col 2)
There is a circumcision of the flesh and there is a circumcision of the heart. Both are biblical since before Christ, even in the law several times.

Deuteronomy 10:16

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

All deuteronomy states is biblical truth, Physical circumcision never saved anyone, nor had a part in saving anyone, It was the heart being circumcised by God which saves people.

There is no difference between the Israelites and the gentiles. One gospel, one Lord, and one faith. Peter warned against interpreting into lawlessness, and Paul kept the law. All the accusations that Paul taught against obedience to the law of God were already settled back then:

Acts 21:21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.

Acts 21:24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shavetheir heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

Lol. So I did get it wrong. I didn't understand what you meant at first, then I thought it was obviously a reference to David saying to Saul "Bring it on. You want 100 foreskins? I'll make you sorry the thought of them even crossed your mind..."

You're making it too easy for humor , which I know this isn't a laughing matter, (slice, ouch), .
Lol. I've laughed a few times in this thread (it is a funny topic, especially for the bible - who says God doesn't have a sense of humour?), although the sad thing is these people's souls are in danger. While you may have heard the expression, "saved by the skin of your teeth", they believe they are saved by the skin of... err... something else...

but I couldn't help laughing (laughter does good like a medicine) when someone said ,'Circumcision is a private matter' ! Lol, ummm, PRIVATE? Get it? Okay, nevermind, sorry, I need to go grow up now! :( (but it's still funny) ;).
Yup. But don't apologise, or grow up. Its nice to bump into people with a sense of humour. :D

Um, yes there is, Jews wer given promises no gentile was ever given, The sign of that promise is physical circumcision.

Not spiritually there is no difference, One lord (christ) died and offers to spiritually baptise and circumcise them all with his hands, Not by the hands of men.

Col 2:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[SUP][c][/SUP] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, [SUP]12[/SUP]buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. [SUP]13 [/SUP]And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, [SUP]14 [/SUP]having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

You want to put us back under those requirements written by the hand of moses.. You need to stop. They could not save moses, or any jew, and they will not save you. all they can do is condemn you.

A gentile is NEVER commanded to be circumcised..

All deuteronomy states is biblical truth, Physical circumcision never saved anyone, nor had a part in saving anyone, It was the heart being circumcised by God which saves people.

Exodus 12:48

And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. 49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Genesis 17:9

And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

Isaiah 56:1

Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.2Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.3Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me,and take hold of my covenant;5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.6Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;7Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.8The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Matthew 5:17

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:
I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Deuteronomy 10:12

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? 14Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. 15Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. 16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. 17For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: 18He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. 19Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. 20Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. 21He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen. 22Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.

so are you perfect? or do you admit you still sin?

And may I ask,

1. How did you get saved
2. Are you saved
3. DO you think you have to keep the law to keep saved (if you are saved)

and finally

Peter said specifically, He never commanded any gentile to get circumcised. And if a jew comes and says you need to. then that command was not given by peter or any disciple.

But these things, I want you to follow.

So nice try,

Again, in the NT, NO GENTILE WAS EVER COMMANDED TO BE CIRCUMCISED. Only one gentiles is said to have been, and he did it so the jews would not be offended by him and FOR NO OTHER REASON!

Acts 16: 1 Then he came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He was well spoken of by the brethren who were at Lystra and Iconium. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek.

and by the way, Do you still sacrifice animals to atone for your sin? (As you said, Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever)

So, if people "break" the Law about receiving circumcision of the flesh - what happens to them?

( Of course we know that real Christians are dead to the Law having died with Christ on the cross and we are raised to newness of life and we live by Christ's life in us now and not by following the Law and that love in us is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 7:1-6 )

That does not say, I will put my law in your hearts and you will go get circumcised.

It says I will put my law in your hearts, and you will become a morally upright person..

There is no morality in circumcision.

oh ok, so you teach sinless perfection also.

good luck with that, When the law finally cits through yuor heart and you realise like the tax collector and paul what a sinner you are, then come talk to me, until then, we will not be able to have a conversation, because you think you are more righteous than you are.

I leave you with these words of Jesus.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: [SUP]10 [/SUP]“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. [SUP]11 [/SUP]The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. [SUP]12 [/SUP]I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ [SUP]13 [/SUP]And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ [SUP]14 [/SUP]I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Allow the law to do what it was intended to do and lead you to him,, Otherwise, You will remain being a modern day pharisee who thinks you are more righteous than you really are.
