Ya know, one of the most important charges we have from God is the raising of our children. Never feel less than whatever for dedicating yourself to the caring for, and raising of your children........trust in God, and do what He believes to be important, and trust Him to provide for your needs.

Praying for you to reach peace with this issue

Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Thank you. I'm glad I'm home with them. Maybe I should start charging the kid's for my services. ;)

It's been a really long day, one filled with a bunch of stuff I hate dealing with. I'm stressed out. I have two part time jobs. Neither pay well. I don't get paid from the preschool in the summer and it can make things difficult.

I work around my kid's school schedule. It would be difficult to work during the day in the summer because I'd have to pay someone to watch my kid's. When they were babies I worked more and made a pretty decent living. My Mom would watch my kid's the three days that I worked. It just stopped working and eventually I had to quit. I wanted to be home with my kid's and I felt God pulling me in that direction. I do enjoy being home with them. I like being a homemaker, but you don't make money doing that and it can be very stressful. We cut a lot of things out in order to make it work. Little things like cable television, that never bothered me.

What bothers me is that I'm not bringing a semi decent income home. My Husband likes the way things are and I do too, but sometimes it's hard not to feel like a leech having to depend on someone else to survive. He doesn't see it that way, it's me.

We do have savings one through his employer and our own. Our house needed repairs, things that couldn't wait so goodbye savings.

I was going over bills today and it just got to me. I feel like crap today and I don't even know why I'm putting this out there. I feel like Debbie Downer.

Just a random thought...

If you (or anyone else reading this) enjoy bargain hunting, garage sales, auctions, etc, you might consider selling stuff on ebay. A number of times I have obtained something for little or nothing and sold it for a whole bunch more on ebay.

The most important point I would suggest is to have a good idea of what you can sell it for before you buy it. I bought a bunch of old books one time thinking I could make some money on them. I didn't know the market for them on ebay. I lost money on that one.

In general I figure if I make at least $10 per sale I am paying for my time to do it; about $10 per hour.

P.S. I went to an auction last night and they sold a real nice stainless steel grill outdoor grill unit for $10, a heavy duty track based snow thrower for twenty dollars, and a lot of other stuff that would have been worth reselling. In fact, I suspect that the guy who bought the grill just left it where it was so he could sell it in next week's auction. If I had thought of it at the time I would have bought it for $12 just to sell it again next week.

If you figure out where to buy things cheap, and sell them higher, AND if you know what you can sell them for when you buy them, there is money to be made on your own time.

P.P.S. Try goodwillonline.com, govdeals.com, policeroom.com and any other online auction site you can find as sources to get things cheap.

And mankind thinks itself intelligent... while the alarm
regarding the dangers of asbestos arose in the thirties

Ancient Roman scholar Pliny the Younger (61-112 AD) wrote that slaves who mined
and worked with asbestos became ill, though it would be nearly 2,000 years before
scientists discovered the cause of this mysterious illness

1918: U.S. Government Recognizes Asbestos Risk

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics releases a report that reveals
abnormally high risk of early death among asbestos workers.

1930: Discovery of Asbestosis

Dr. E.R.A. Merewether, a famous researcher, publishes first clinical examination of hundreds of workers in the asbestos industry. He found that one out of four workers was suffering from asbestosis.

Dr. Merewether further concluded: That asbestosis was a disease of latency, i.e. that workers exposed to asbestos wouldn’t show signs of injury for many years;

That asbestos dust had to be controlled through ventilation and the use of respirators.

That workers exposed to asbestos should be informed and warned in order to assure a “sane appreciation of the risk.”

That the finished products created dust that should be controlled and minimized.
Dr. Merewether’s medical description of asbestos disease mirrors exactly the description of the disease today.
His recommendations, if fully implemented by the asbestos industry, would have saved tens of thousands of lives and injuries to American workers.

1934: Link Between Workplace Asbestos
Exposure and Cancer Discovered

Researchers report cases of asbestosis and lung cancer in an asbestos factory. Many of the workers had less than six months of exposure to asbestos. Reports were also published of asbestosis from workplace exposure to products, including boiler workers, custodians and insulators.

And good morning :D
