Correct the Bible clearly reveals that God raised Jesus from the dead. And indeed we must believe that God raised Jesus from the dead if not then we would be not be saved..

Romans 10:KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

So AMEN God Raised Jesus from the Dead..

So now emjcares read the Next passage of the Gospel and see what our LORD Jesus said..

John 2: KJV
18 ¶Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

So here Jesus declared that I will raise it up, and the disciples under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit later understood that Jesus was talking of His own body.. So indeed God raised up Jesus from the Dead nad Jesus raised up Jesus from the dead because the Father and Jesus are One... But please read the next verse:::

Romans 8: KJV
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

So here Paul states clearly that the Spirit raised Jesus from the dead.. The Spirit that dwelleth in Christians is the Holy Spirit.. So now we know that God the Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the Dead Because these tree are One..

1 John 5: KJV
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Of course we know that the ''Word" spoken of here is Jesus.. Jesus is the WORD of God..

This is also why the Prophet Isaiah revealed:::

Isaiah 9:KJV
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus is LORD

Good read Brother, excellent. I could cite him a dozen more verses like you stated, but The Lord told his Apostles not to "Cast They're pearls before the Swine". The Devil always stands before The Children of God and Unbeleivers to goad us to arguments. Satan enjoys this. Thanks again Bro, for your input God Bless..

Jesus is LORD
So what's your problem, honey?
I SAID God raised Him from the dead!!!

And God is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

One God in three persons, blessed trinity.

You're directing your disdain in the wrong direction.

Calling people of God "Scitzos" shows your carnal minded attitude...I only converse, and will not argue with anyone..so let us move on..
I didn't call people of God schizo...You REALLY need to learn how to read, especially after boasting that you studied on your own for 29 years, no outside help I guess, and you never read about the personhood of God.

No, I didn't call God's people schizo, I asked if YOU thought HE was schizo, since He's taught the majority of christians from His Word about His personage, but you claim He taught you privately something completely different. Do you think He is schizophrenic, teaching most people one thing, and you another?

Good read Brother, excellent. I could cite him a dozen more verses like you stated, but The Lord told his Apostles not to "Cast They're pearls before the Swine". The Devil always stands before The Children of God and Unbeleivers to goad us to arguments. Satan enjoys this. Thanks again Bro, for your input God Bless..
Such a dweeb, lol. Look in the mirror before calling me a swine and a devil, junior, you don't know what you're saying.

And btw, how convenient that you boys want to run away to another subject, without ever answering the questions laid out for you more than once already.

How about we deal with one of your stories at at time?
Yous made the accusation that God is not triune,
I believe I proved from scripture that He is, plus hundreds of years and thousands of christians will verify that. And I asked you legitimate quetions regarding the conclusions drawn from scripture, yet you fail to answer the questions, and just want to move on.

Move on to what, so you can make up another theory about God, and then not answer more questions when your theory is proven wrong?

Go ahead, kids, run along. Carefully.

I did not attend a Bible College, or any Type of Theology school...I learned it from Fasting and prayer, and walking in God's Spirit, that's how i learned it from The Lord himself from His Holy
Spirit. I could care less what anyone thinks about what I declared. I told you The absolute truth no matter what you think or say. Let's just move on, no hard feelings, and if you don't understand what I stated, i completly understand..Amen

Well, is the Lord double-minded or schizo? Because you say He taught YOU that the trinity is a false doctrine, but christians the world over for centuries have claimed that the bible teaches that God is three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Not three offices, but three persons.

Are you claiming that you've been given special secret revelation from God, and the vast majority of believers down through the ages is wrong?

And...you didn't answer the last question...
If (since) God is love, who or what did He love before He created anything?

when Jesus was teaching did the majority follow?
the pharisees were the the biggest Jewish sect, they were wrong.
and Jesus teaches us "narrow is the gate".

Christianity today is far from what Jesus and the 12 set up, thousands of bible versions, to many denominations, mega money churches with CC machines in lobby and on and on. if we are following the bible correctly and all our doctrines are in line with what Jesus taught, why are things they way they are?

Not sure what putting those two posts together before, had to do with your statements here, and I'm not sure what you're implying with your question(s).

The debate was --- someone claimed that God is not three persons, I proved from scripture that He is. I asked questions in a few posts that went unanswered, still haven't been, one you included and didn't answer either, but posed a half-question/half insinuation about the church.
Can you explain your point a bit better?

Also, if you have an answer to the question I asked the others that they refused to even consider, great.
Who or what was God loving before He created anything? Thanks. GBU.

(Point of the q is that if God is not three 'persons', Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but merely three 'offices' as another claimed, How could God be love and who did He love before creation?)

In reality, if you never received The Holy Spirit you cannot Blaspheme it.

I see that from another perspective or a little differently. To Blaspheme God's Spirit, simply means to attribute the work of God’s Holy Spirit (Christ) to another person. This is whether they are a believer as having the faith of Christ or not.

To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to attribute the authority of scripture, the work of God as the very things of God’s teachings, to the teaching of men as the things of men .Teaching the doctrines of men as commandments is to blasphemy His Holy name.

It is a reference to His authority according to the faith of Christ in respect to the work of Christ, the labor of His love.

I think it is saying in regard to the idea you offered; “the Only Sin that never will be forgiven in this Life”, is saying more that only God can forgive sin by casting the eternal wage as far as East is from the West never coming to the mind of God forever more. .The subject is forgiveness.

We cannot separate the faith of God who has no form from the person of God.

While I am not promoting we call God “it” he uses “it” to represent his unseen person.

The difference is seen in same place of scripture that the Catholics use the “it” to represent the flesh and blood of Peter as the “it” in which the gates of hell could never prevail against. .

It is all about what do we do with the little word “ it” which I think carries the final authority in matters of faith.
Attribute “it” to God or cause blasphemy by attributing it to Peter or any man who some call a Pope that makes the claim they can forgive sin ..

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for “flesh and blood” hath not revealed “it” unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against”it”. Mat 16:15

Christ is reckoned as the Holy Ghost, the Holy anointing Spirit of God. It is described as he but God remains supernatural, as Emmanuel (God with us) and not a man as us. Calling him a man knowing he is not would also be considered blasphemy seeing it does offend Him (the Son of man) who will not share his glory with flesh and blood.

James 2 in regard to the chapter it as one of the better places that teaches us about faith (the unseen) coming under the inspired work of God that worked in James to both will and do his good pleasure. It informs us infallibly.as a loving commandment to help us recognize false prophets, false christ’s, called antichrists (plural) .

Jam 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

We can see the reason if we follow it to its conclusion why we are not to have the faith of Christ as the work of God that works in us in respect to any man .It proves someone is blaspheming his Holy name (Christ)

. Jam 2:7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

And by finishing the Matthew 16 account we are given a perfect example of how men blaspheme the Holy name of Christ ,our God.

The lesson would seem for us to be search to find out the difference between the “things of men” and “those of God” seeing blasphemy can occur as it did when Peter was influenced by the god of this world. Peter did not lose his salvation. Again blasphemy has to do with forgiveness . No man can forgive another of an eternal dept. Even though some claim they do.

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an “offence unto me”: for thou savourest not the “things that be of God”, but “those that be of men”. Mat 16:22

has to do with this statement you made "but christians the world over for centuries have claimed. . ."
the majority agreement does not establish truth. Jesus and the 12 were for sure in the minority.

as for trinity doctrine, its not allowed on CC. if you question it or post scriptures that raise questions you get banned.

A: We're talking about christians. At the time, the twelve were the majority, because they WERE the christians. You're making a comparison of twelve versus the rest of the whole world, lol, of course twelve against the world is a minority, lol. We're strictly talking about believers in Jesus, and the majority down through the ages believe in Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, one God, three persons.
That's just a fact of how the majority of christians have believed, from the twelve onward.
Does that MAKE it true?
As said in another thread, something that is true is true on it's own, not dependent on whether on not people believe it.
But the bible says God is Father Son and Holy Ghost, and therefore, since most genuine christians believe the bible is true, (I would say pretty much all) most also believe the triune God is true.

B: Where is it in the rules that the trinity can't be discussed on CChat?
I honestly never heard that before, (but that doesn't mean it isn't true, so there ya go, lol) ;)

I never heard it before either. But to keep peace with others on here I'll refrain from posting scriptures that disprove a 3 Person Trinity. Not worth starting arguments, or getting people mad at me or others..

Fair enough. Don't want to argue, just bring truth to light to glorify God and maybe help us all know Him a little better. Sometimes that comes through healthy debate, but it doesn't necessarily have to mean division.
Not unless it's about salvation, and someone's teaching flat out lies to deceive people from being saved.

This topic (trinity) though important, I'm a bit more willing to be lenient about, because I'm not 100% certain about it meaning a person is saved or not.

It gets cloudy, bc a mormon has one idea of God, a jehovahs witness another, they both say they believe in Jesus, but it's a different jesus/god and not the salvation of the bible or the faith once delivered to the saints.

So, imo, it's REAL important to believe in the triune God. Trying to figure how salvation hangs in the balance I'm not sure yet.
I don't understand it, but as I see it, the bible teaches it, so we should believe it.

Btw, I'm not mad when people believe diff, only when people make EMPHATIC statements about God or scripture, but when shown something from scripture, and asked reasonable questions, they refuse to continue the discussion, want to change the subject, or use the silly 'ignore' button. That bugs me, and I tend to get critical after that.

But I come from a neck of the woods where close family conversations often go like this:

A: You idiot! I can't believe you think that!
B: YOU're the idiot! What, did you get hungry and finally eat that stinkin' cabbage you've been keeping in your skull?
A: Pyah. Huh. FUNnyyy. I'd call you a moron, but for you that would be a compliment.
B: Coming from bricksforbrains, I'd take it!!!
A: What does that even mean?!
B: Oh, shut up!
A:You shut up! ..........

.......... A: So what are you doing later.
B:Wanna go get a beer?
A: Sounds good. Rifle range first?
B: I'm in.
B: You know I love you, right?
A: Yeah, I know. Same here.

And that's just the women!!!
Lololol

Now, that's just a made-up scenario, but I HAVE found that there's alot of people out there that never want to have a cross word, and think being a christian means always being niceypolitekissface, but they can be very unforgiving and smug.

Others are more, ok, lets say what what's up, and it might not always go so sweetly, but later on, or by the next day, forgiveness is there and they move on as family.

And all of us can find ourselves in one catagory or the other at different times in our lives. But...
We still should be about helping each other into the kingdom, ultimately, though.

For now, if discussing the attributes and personhood of God is taboo on a christian chat site, well ......

Meanwhile, I still want to know, who or what did God love before He created anything?

First, if you read Hebrews 7 verse 3; we read God never had a Mother or Father, nor a Beginning nor end..He always WAS, And always Always will be..That in itself staggers the mind because a humanity lives in a World of Starting and Finishing. We are programmed that way..God is Immortal and we are mere lowly mortals, Who were all born and we will all someday Die( Our Fleshy Body) but our Spirit of life returns back to The Lord. This blows people's minds thinking about God being Immortal, and Never was created, or Born but always existed..

you get reported and banned. i have seen many kicked for raising questions that people want nothing to do with.

Well, of course, God is eternal.
I don't know what happened in this thread, but it's off the OP, and I was just commenting on God's triunity, being 3persons, co-equal and co-eternal, and in Jesus all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.
Astounding, mind-blowing, beyond my ability to grasp? Yes and more.
Just not sure where this thread's at now. Will be busy for a while. Have a blast and may God continue to bless you with the wonders of His love and awesomeness.

I said the doctrine is in the bible.

Are you understanding now?
I shouldn't have to repeat these things a third time.

C: Reporting someone for having a conversation about the attributes of God on a Christian CHAT site is about as cowardly yellow as one could get.
What do you think a christian CHAT site is for if not primarily CHATTING about God?!

Banned for raising questions???? Lol
If someone doesn't want to discuss a topic, they don't have to.

Might as well ban someone from youtube for watching videos.
You're just being silly. :D

What does it matter if we have only one translation of the Scriptures or if we have a dozen translations of the Scriptures if they are all telling the Truth from God?

The reason we have people like jaybird, wincam, and others is because they probably do not have the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit and are walking in darkness.

And yes we can post questions that false prophets and Wolves in sheep clothing will hate.

The Truth in the Scriptures stand on the Truth that God is real and He does not change. The Truth that there are three persons in God was True when Jesus created everything and is still True today in 2016 AND will still be True 1000 years in the Future!

Truth in the Scriptures is NOT dependent on what men say. Its just the opposite. Men are dependent ON the Truth in the Scriptures.

The biggest problem in 2016 are the many Bibles on the market today. Many of these newer versions, change Wording that differs from the 1611 KJV. Nobody does not think .how sly these people are.

I understand there are false Bible out there, but they are easy to spot. Does that mean we are to throw the baby out with the bathwater?

The Bibles you can trust are:
NASB
NKJV
KJV

These Bibles are the only ones i use.

Hi PaulMack,
I hope that wasn't directed at me, bc that's what I was saying, that just bc people believe something does not determine it's truth. A thing is true independent of anyone believing it or not. It's up to us to decided if we want to believe something, but the truth will be true on it's own, even if NO one believes it.

I also don't get this threat about being banned or it being against site rules if peoplke want to discuss the trinity, or ask qs about just about anything. The bible pretty much covers everything, why shouldn't we be allowed to discuss it. If some topics offend some people, they don't have to participate in those threads.

This whole nonsense of reporting and banning is so teeny-bopper juvenile, and really, most of the young teens I've seen post from time to time, show a level of maturity a lot higher than some of the older folks who should know better, but get their kicks out of instigating and then reporting and banning.

And I'm not just talking about intermittant trolls either, but people who are here quite regularly who think it's their job to tell everybody how to act while they themselves gossip like schoolgirls, play games with the ignore feature, report people like the hallway monitor, and get people ostracized to the point of banning or just wanting to quit.

And somehow they think that's ok to do to fellow believers. Not cool at all. Anyway, thanks for telling it like it is re: God's nature, I don't always say things the way I'm thinking.

i have no idea how else to explain it to you. your trying to focus to hard on the label of "Christian" which didnt exist in the days of Jesus. He taught the Hebrew bible, He taught mostly to Jews, majority of the Jews did not agree. thats the point. dont think about whether they were Christian or Jew, just think of who the messenger was directed to. and the majority did not agree with Him.

Read my post again. I said MAJORITY. Majority means most, not necessasrily all.

i know what it means, i never said different.

Try to read what I wrote.

I said MOST christians believe the bible.
I said the doctrine is in the bible.
Therefore most christians believe the doctrine.

so our belief should be focused on what "most Christians" believe above what the bible teaches? "most" that heard Jesus teach did not believe. so who do we go with, "most people" or that small number of people that included Jesus and the 12?
are you getting it yet?

Are you understanding now?
I shouldn't have to repeat these things a third time.

i have understood since the first post. you sound like you are dodging the point

Allusion (07)

POSIT: Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 1030 . . All who die in God's
grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal
salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness
necessary to enter the joy of heaven.

RESPONSE: According to Pope Leo X's Bull of Exurge Domine, people in purgatory are
unable to sin; viz: they have no propensity to sin; ergo: if Leo X is right, then people in
purgatory would be familiar with God, and associate with Him on a regular basis.

Matt 5:8 . . Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God.

Since nobody sins in purgatory, nor indeed can sin, then whatever is Rome talking
about when it says imperfectly purified?

That has reference, at least in part, to CCC 1031 which says: As for certain lesser
faults, we must believe that, before the Final Judgment, there is a purifying fire.

One of the so-called purifying fire's purposes is to remove the contamination
caused by sin. That thought is based upon 1John 1:9 which infers that in
order to obtain decontamination for one's sins; they have to be confessed.

Well; in the event that some of one's lesser faults slip through a crack, purgatory's
fire takes care of those. Unfortunately, purgatory does nothing for so-called mortal sins.
When people leave this life with even one unconfessed mortal sin on the books, they go
straight to hell.

NOTE: I've been told that one's "intention" to confess a mortal sin counts as confession.

For some odd reason, Rome has totally missed the purpose of confession as per 1John
1:5-10. It's not for getting one's self cleaned up for heaven. No, far from it. The purpose
is fellowship-- translated from the Greek word is koinonia (koy-nohn-ee'-ah) --which
basically means partnership and/or participation and social intercourse.

In a nutshell: a profitable association with God in this life depends upon keeping one's
sins confessed in a timely manner.

1John 1:3 . .What we have seen and heard we proclaim now to you, so that you too
may have fellowship with us; for our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son,
Jesus Christ.
