Porn addiction is eating me up.

Along the lines of what you did I "bought" freedom for a young man. Long story short, a man had him in bondage, (this guy preys on the poor or struggling). "HE" gave him "porno" he could'nt (legally) sell in his shop. The guy then asked ME! UGH... I said "NO!" But, if you'll BURN THAT STUFF I WILL PAY YOU. (I wanted to free him- show love)!He DID- I PAID! Immediately, I also helped him get a cell phone and bought him food and he took off. I am not telling this except to show there are many ways that we can help free those in bondage. He got away from the man enslaving him.And maybe I am a dupe. But, I gave him goodness fir his terrible BEHAVIOR and perchance that will come back into his mind and hesrt someday. (He had such a evil tongue around me. I could hardly bear it. But,I am stuck where he WAS. IN DUE TIME- I WILL GO. RIGHT NOW, NO. ANOTHER LONG STORY. I AM NOT GOING ON ABOUT.

thank you all for the great info. my plan of attack is put computer in living room and when i get urges i will pray. i am on day 2 free now and feel great. perhaps that was causing my social anxiety and premature ejaculation issues. i will keep praying

Reading that story warmed my heart. Perhaps something I might have done, I dunno. But, it touched me, so I believe God had to be right in the middle of it.

Replace it with something positive and when you feel the urge ask yourself what you are feeling insecure about.

In addition to all the good advise you have gotten already, I would like to add fasting as a way to freedom, it is the ultimate weapon in our arsenal.

She is a Christian now and has devoted her life to helping men who watch this bane of the soul, and the woman who are currently porn "stars." If your watching porn, your not only harming yourself, your family, your church, and your friends and co-workers, but your helping keep these woman (and men) who are the porn actors in bondage. Your a Christian who has little power, and indeed your advancing satans kingdom. The porn business is often run by people who are often gangsters and low life's. People that desperately need Christ, and who are the dregs of society. They are not much different then drug dealers.

Being addicted to porn is dangerous in so many ways and it does lead to divorce. Have you tried reading scripture and praying whenever you feel the urge to look at porn or even think about it? Being involved in porn will keep you out of Heaven and certainly you don't want to be left behind when Jesus comes for His bride. Hopefully these videos will help you to overcome your addiction.

well, the most a porn addiction typically is a masturbation addiction, and while I would rather leave it ambiguous if I had one, my advice would be to go in front of the what tempts you to do it, the porn, and literally just force your arms to stay away from what you don't want to touch, it is not an immediate cure, but if you can work up to the point of not doing so for the entire video, then leave and go on with your day, you are well on your way to being able to not do the act, and without it to turn passive viewing into an activity, the porn usually becomes less attractive at the same time.

the issue is the self-deception:

porn addiction happens when one is deceived into thinking this is reality. IT is not. It is fantasy that was created on false narrative that can never satisfy. before one becomes addicted to anything there is a moment of pleasure which as they continue it will never reach the level of the first time one has gotten pleasure out of the act. Drugs, sex, etc....

First off you need to repent and ask God to forgive you and tell your wife. To get the victory over this you need to get you an accountable brother and make some changes to your daily doings. maybe getting rid of the PC at home or only get on it with someone around. To prayer and the word of God. you have to fight the urge of lustful desires and not given into them. God has given us power to have self-control. But we must change our mind and come to the understanding that "porn " is not a reality but a snare to entrap us men. If we walk in the desires of the flesh we will do them . We must change our direction and bring our desires in line with Gods plan and HIS desires. For men the battle of the mind is the most difficult because we like to see things and this is why porn is so addicting to men. This addiction destroys marriages because the wife can never live up to the false narrative created on a fantasy of porn. Christ can set you free and bring into understanding This lie of the devil. See your pastor or a brother (elder ) who you trust and follow the Lord to set you free HE can and wants to.
