Is it hard for you to find a specific verse that having many wives is a sin?
Instead of telling stories...and self righteous opinion.
Again. You were given it. You dismissed it based on absolutely nothing but what you want as an answer.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

if nothing else, for us in America it would be sin because the law in the land says one can only be married to one husband or wife -- and the apostles of Christ clearly teach that as much as it does not contradict the law of Christ, we should obey the law and honor all human authorities.

but how about we cut through all the pretenses and get to the real question:

Watcher, how many girls are you wanting to marry, and why?
As I said before, my wife is enuf for me.

Genesis 2: 24
Therefore shall a man (singular) leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife (singular): and they shall be one flesh.

Mark 10
[SUP]6 [/SUP]But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;(singular)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Clarification:
1. Saul was David's master. David took none of Saul's wives. (His first wife was Saul's daughter, but none were Saul's wives.)

2. Nathan was rebuking him for taking Bathsheba. Actually Nathan was doing the same thing to David that we're doing to you in that verse -- telling you that despising the commandments of the Lord isn't going to work out well. Doing evil in God's sight isn't hunky dory.

So, are you saying you're peachy keen on taking a few wives based on this? Why not just go for it, since you really couldn't care what God thinks anyway?

(And, I'm pretty amused by this, because I'm certain you won't be getting more than one wife, if that many.)
In the bible o n ly 8 were named but david have more concubines and wives and they were not named.

I only have one wife and intend to remain that way.

This post is a simple question and yet for some its hard to accept because of the culture we ar e in.
throwing that for a meantime and just biblical truth what would be y I ur answer?

Marriage is not separating but joining.
so
man married wife 1. Wife 1 leave parents and be one with husband.
man married wife 2 . Wife 2 leave parents and be one with husband.
man married wife 3. Wife 3 leave parents and be one with husband.
They were not separated but joined by marriage.

Are you saying based on these verses, David, solomon, gideon and others who have many wives will not inherit the kngdom?

Again, you asked for scriptural proof and the Word of God was given to you. Yet you are not satisfied.

This is my last post to you. If you reject the Truth of Jesus Christ in order to continue striving about the law, I will know you are not interested in the reality of Christ, but are living according to the flesh. The Lord's will be done.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. [SUP]8 [/SUP]And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” [SUP]9 [/SUP]So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” [SUP]11 [/SUP]Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” [SUP]12 [/SUP]But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” [SUP]13 [/SUP]Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— [SUP]14 [/SUP]so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

LOL.
you provided scriptures to deal against having many wives, but when asked if the verses are saying that David, solomon, gideon and the others shall not inherit the kingdom? You will response that I am not satisfied.

of course, because your scriptures does not answer the OP.
Please do not be like those preachers; Just becausr they think its right they are bending the truth.

why not preach the truth then apply the liberty of christ.

You do not apply the liberty of Christ. You want to silence women.

And yet here you are with all the freedom to say what you want.
You can't stop me can you? I have the liberty of Christ, and you have no authority over me despite your pathetic attempts to silence me. And you are free to live as sinful a life as you choose, with the full knowledge that there is not one single Scripture to support your position. You know that because I have the freedom to share Biblical truths with you whether you decide to take it to heart, or not, since you are so bent to do what you want regardless.

Can you re pos r what verse at I will reply accordingly.
Let me see if I got this right. YOU started a post because YOU wanted to know if there is a commandment against polygamy. Magenta answered YOU. But now I'M supposed to put in the effort to backtrack YOUR thread to look for it for YOU?

Sure, I'll do the work for you. Last time I worked, I got $30 an hour. I'll do you a favor and charge you the same price decades later. Want to use PayPal to pay me? Because I don't know you, I accept the money up front. $30 will cover it. If it takes me less than an hour, I'll give you some back.
