Could one walk before the LORD in truth and with a perfect heart, having done that which is good in His sight or is that the corrupt human heart that needs to be replaced?

well, i guess Christ died for nothing then, eh?
and apparently Christ was a liar, when He said no one is good but God alone.
and so was Paul, who told us that all have sinned.
and John, who by the Spirit says if anyone claims to be without sin, they are a liar.
and of course, Solomon, who wrote the proverb you say is false.

Hezekiah king of Judah sent this message to the king of Assyria at Lachish:
“I have done wrong. Withdraw from me, and I will pay whatever you demand of me.”
(2 Kings 18:14)

nothing is impossible if you submit and choose Jesus above the world, - but, after a certain
point, when our worldly hearts meet the worldly-road, many failiings occur, and this is where we turn our
hearts over to our Saviour for what He did for us, if we really Love and appreciate Him for His
Holy Sacrifice..
 

It was the man who feared to lift up his head before God, who confessed that he is a sinner, and asked the Lord for mercy, that went away justified.

Hezekiah is approved before Him because he acknowledged his own shortcomings, and trusted God, humbling himself before Him, following all the days of His life.
Not because He was sinless and his heart was pure. Even Hezekiah needs Christ, Even Enoch, who walked with God. Even post, and even Zmouth.

For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
(Romans 3:22)

But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
(Galatians 3:22)

have you broken the Bible?

Or are you understanding this incorrectly?



i think what you did here was ((among other things)) find another flaw in the KJV.

2 Kings 20:3
HEB: בֶּֽאֱמֶת֙ וּבְלֵבָ֣ב שָׁלֵ֔ם וְהַטּ֥וֹב בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ
NAS: You in truth and with a whole heart
KJV: thee in truth and with a perfect heart,
