Lot's of "Personal Interpretation" Going On In Some Of These Threads

Its clear you got offended with my post that upheld Pauls letters as Gods Word ...don't take a lot to figure out what you believe..we see you kind on the forum everyday

This is the BDF (bible discussion forum). The mere act of posting here makes you a target for all kinds of attacks. Some new users quit the site after a day because of this area. Some users refuse to come in here at all. It's a rather vile place.

it's a microcosm, and the nature of it being a discussion board amplifies certain human faults and attracts certain kinds of people, one being people who 'have it all figured out' and desire an audience but get very upset over being corrected, and another being people who love to criticize others - for whatever reason.

some people are very put off by this and refuse to get into the Bible discussion section of the forum at all, like Ugly said. some people have left the site altogether over arguments erupting there.

For the most part I find it hilarious. I observed a member who had all too recently advertised a very loud ignore sign, yet follow up by posting a prolific number of responses to posts that reframed things in the most limited, yet manipulative fashion. Discounting the members of their harem who will like anything they have to say, it fails comprehension how people don't see the base of their posts where they'll make claims which are convenient for their argument and cognizance is total issue for them, irrespective of the topic.

You can address what they have to say in the best of manners. However I've found with these types of bullies, they're not interested in seeing how they're wrong or hypocritical, because they're only interested in using all they have - false accusations - and in 'being right'. They're anything but, yet they dominate through bullying. It might be because they don't like a person or because they feel so threatened when someone takes a different stance on an issue to them. Either way these people have their own unresolved issues and you have to do your best to be Christian around them and leave them to Christ. Nine times out of ten they're not worth responding too, with the exception of a bit of humour or raising your concerns about the basis of their false claims, but they'll reap what they sow. They'll be accountable for every breath they draw, so pray for them and leave them to God, He works out all messes on our behalf!

What are you on about? None of you here, nor anything you say gets more than a modest chuckle out of me. I guess you should go back and read again to see I was making a commentary about how you folks are so myopic that anything that falls outside your blinders gets disregarded and mocked. Paul was not caught up to heaven,but he knew a man that was caught up to heaven,which would have to be John.

Of course Paul is speaking of himself in the Third person to make a point ... he affirms this in other epistles

Only God can see the heart and knows who His "real" children are. The rest is just posturing and useless chatter, if one uses their "knowledge" to condemn others.

Paul says God is able to lead all to full understanding. Why do people have so little faith in God that they think they have to fight His battles for Him?

Paul apparently agreed that the Law definitely includes the ten commandments. Here he says that the Law produced "coveting" and this comes from Ex.20:17 - the giving of the Ten commandments.

If someone says that the Law does not include the ten commandments is definitely doing this "personal interpretation" thing that the OP is talking about.

It seems to me and I'm sure that you and others will agree, that wherever the truth of God's word is, Satan has already invented his counterfeits. And unfortunately he is find people to deceive in order to get that deception out., especially in these days with the internet, you tube and myriads of books. In this case he knows that if he can get people to trust in the works of the law, that they will not be trusting in Christ, even though they claim that they are.

Good morning!...and Yes I do agree with you that the enemy wants to get people to trust in their works of the law - instead of Christ Himself. satan is very religious.

And if you don't agree with those that keep the works of the Law - then you are labeled as having your own "personal interpretations". It's a nice setup actually but we are not ignorant of such strategies....
